Finally Microsoft officially released the first images of Project Gotham Racing 4, and as a bonus for those who waited, the first video using the game engine too. Can't wait to play that one, especially since the cities shouldn't be as dull as PGR3's

Doesn't look too much better than PGR3 at the moment, it is full 720p this time though, so thats a plus. The rain droplets on the cars look nice but I hope they make it bead back realistically and not just be static.

Hopefully the horrible jaggies don't ruin the graphics like PGR3.

And AAx4 too! And great AF! This will be the best looking racer this year (looks better than Dirt or Motorstorm).

can anyone confirm 720p and 4xaa for sure? link?

i'm most worried about the lighting. the lighting model is always off on pgr games, and fairly generic. everything else is always perfect, but lighting is most important!

Ahhh, St. Petersburg. The town where Putin, our president, was born.
PGR2 had Moscow, PGR4 will have St. Petersburg. The developers sure love Russia.

Hm, that are my thoughts exactly. I'm a bit cofused why everybody is so excited about raindrops on cars. While racing you won't see them anyway.

Other than that, it looks good. The carmodels look stunning and the lightning so far is pretty good.

I'm at work so I haven't checked out the video but it looks like PGR3 to me with some cool wet car effects which could have been DLC. Forza is a technically superior game in my opinion because the car models I think look better in forza and the game is running at FPS whereas PGR4 will be 30 because it appears to be on the same engine with some minor tweaks.
