First nice surprise of the year, Microsoft and Epic announced the the first Map Pack for Gears of War would be available on January 10 (or 11 depending on your time zone) and will introduce 2 new mutliplayer maps: Old Bones and Ravendown. A patch fixing the issues of the game will also be available a bit before that. And of course, it's free!
Update: Added a video presentation of both maps by Cliffy B.

Is the map pack free as well as the patch?
The MP maps don't bother me since i don't have live, but some of the checkpoints in campaign are sucky.

??
@crea8tivity, I think you can fotget about that because afaik Epic has never released SP content this way, only MP content in the form of extra maps..
you know your game looks good when you could use any in-game shot as a prerendered RE background and get away with it. awesome.
??
Finally, Can't wait.
And the best part IT"S FREE.
2 Maps is a pack, hmmm... atleast the patch seems to adress a good bunch of issues.
