Looks suprisingly colourful, lively and "warm" for being an Unreal Engine 3 game. Looks abslutely much better than the first one overall, check out the quick look at Giantbomb.com :) http://www.giantbomb.com/quick-look-ex-army-of-two...

Hahaha bullshots ahoy, blatantly impossible aa. I can't stand the visual style in this game, the exaggerated enviroments and the colourful enemies are cringe worthy.

not a fan of halo then i take it?

anyway, i think this looks awesome. obviously the game doesnt have THAT high a level of AA, but it's obvious the game looks great from the gameplay footage they've released. can't wait personally, loved the first one.

Soldiers/ clowns?...how incredibly lame.

Gameplay may be fun but the character design is simply awful, IMO, stereotypical tattooed badass meets carnie.

I just wanted to post that. I HATE the art direction in this game, especially in the Gameplay-videos released a while ago. These images look ok, I guess - but the game will not look like that when people are playing it next year.

As long as we dont unlock all the weapons fully upgraded once completed, I'm happy. That killed all replayibility for me in the 1st one, otherwise it was enjoyable. I personally love the cheesiness of the main characters and to be fair, the game isn't overly colourful like you people are moaning about, believe it or not their are colours outside of brown and grey, amazing I know. Hopefully this game will carry on the solid formula of the 1st and refine and polish it.

I thought the first game was a fucking mess. The story was bad, the graphics were bad, the gameplay was bad, the AI was bad, the cover system was clunky, it all felt like a lot of potential but no delivery. Im quite shocked people on here seem to like it much at all. Everyone I knew hated the damn game.

If they fix all the bugs and nagging parts of the gameplay, then it might be ok, but i can't see this game ever being anything to get excited about. Just my opinion though so no flaming kids....

as for that Halo comparison by Korndog, Halo was a sci-fi game with aliens and alien worlds, talk about apples and oranges buddy...

still doesnt change the fact the characters and worlds are more colourful then most, but blue_eagle said it better anyway, there is more colour out there thn just brown and grey, despite what this current generation may have you believe.

as for liking this game, as far as co-op experiences go, i enjoyed it more then pretty much everything else out there. sure it had issues, but as far as fun goes, it was top of my list really. sure as hell beat the likes of gears of war's co-op campaign or cod WAW's etc. the more co-operative a game feels the better. and army of two was the best example of that since the co-op in SC: chaos theory. the sequel looks to be improving every aspect of what made the first game so great.

What I meant was color in an alien sci-fi game is different than a colorful art style in a "gritty" game like Ao2, but I don't really care, just thought it was a bad thing to compare.

As for gameplay, that's great you like it. You are certainly in the vast minority for thinking it was a more fun co-op experience than Gears or CoD, but not everyone has the same taste. Yes Ao2 had a lot of co-op heavy gameplay elements, I (like the majority of people who reviewed the game) thought that those things were not done well much at all.

No matter how much you do stuff with a partner, it still drags it down when the core gameplay mechanics are so rushed and clunky. Aiming alone was a joke compared to most shooting games. I'd say the co-op in Horde mode on Gears or the co-op in ODST are miles and miles better (more fun) than Ao2. but we all have our own opinions...

Im with korndog on this one, first game had some super fun co-op.

It appears you cant please anyone on this website, you go to the screenshot section for flashpoint and everyone complains that the game is too grey, then you come here and everyone complains that there is too much colour. Do you people like anything?

A game (or footage of) always pleases someone, just not everyone. Ever. And it appears with this industry that people are extremely vocal with their opinions, there hardly ever is a midway. It's a complete success or utter fail. But that does make reading sites interesting. At times.

Gameplay footage looks fun to me, but with the amount of slack the first game got I will approach the sequel with extreme caution.
