Xbox 360

EA released four images from Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2. Some of them are old but we didn't have in our database, but I think at least one or two is new.

RTS just doesn't work on a console ...

Yes, it's difficult enough to control a game like this with a mouse and keyboard.
I don't know how could they possibly make it fluidly playable on a console.

These screens are looking hot though.

It looks cool, most of the initial previews have been favorable towards the control scheme for the game using a controller. I guess you'll have to take those favorable comments with a grain of salt considering how much gaming sites hype up games prior to release these days.

I just hope they can pull this off, RTS games on the console using XBL for multiplayer matchups would be awesome. I'd kill for Total Annihilation or Command and Conquer on the 360.

I think it could work ok with dual analogue controlls, a mouse pointer could be fairly accurate with the left stick, could rotate the map with the right one...

One of the problems in the past with RTS on consoles was the resoultion and digital controls.. both of those have been fixed now..

Still not my sort of game, but looks nice enough ..

So if someone says that a KB/M combo for a console FPS is wanted, people jump all over the place yelling go home pc fanboy, yet if someone says that they want a KB/M for an RTS its all good? What a double-standard.

I just wish MS would come to its senses and give people the choice, the USB ports are right there waiting.

Btw, I'm with pr0cs, C&C Generals would make a great XBLive game. Make it console friendly, port it with XNA and theres a nice revenue stream.
