Want to see in motion, I hope the open world system doesn't detract from the focus of the "burnout" part of the game.

I too am worried about this open ended world in Burnout Paradise. Part of my favorite thing about Revenge was the variety of track types. My favorite was up in the mountains on White Mountain, but then you also had a bunch in he cities.

I also hate looking at little maps on the bottom corners of the screen in these open ended games just to see where I have to go next.

I think free roaming is a welcome edition, because honestly this series wouldn't have warranted another game without it. It's dyyiiiiing.

Burnout hasn't been as good since EA got involved, but since it's online I might as well try it.

Looks exceptional, considering it is pre-alpha, and isn't due for 6 or more months.

I have high hopes for this one.

The grafix look absolutely stunning. Wow, look at the textures on the ground, the detailed cars... Wow.
But my alltime fav was BO2!! Never another arcade game catched me like that! BO3-5 where.... nargh.... just boring me at a certain level... But I'm looking forward to this one. New elements could bring new wind into the series, so... waiting for a demo!! But wow, the grafx are HOT HOT HOT!!!!!

Burnout 1 and Burnout 2 were the only ones that were worth it in this series imo.....

i recommend ya'll check out the on the spot episode on gamespot. has a pretty nice "live" interview and footage from that EA event. main things however is that multiplayer is very customisable (maybe the single player too?). with rules such as "boost style" and "traffic amount" and "traffic checking" which can all be toggled. he said if you wanna play it like burnout 1, you can...or if you prefared the link-heavy feel of burnout 2, you can do that too. you can remove the crap traffic checking addition from the last game or turn off the "revenge" style takedowns...meaning this new game is practically every burnout rolled into one. even the tracks arnt pre-defined. you create your own, start point, end point, checkpoints....all cusomisable. i honestly wasnt THAT excited by the game after revenge. the inclusion of traffic checking and focus on takedowns just put me off a little. but after that interview and the prospect of making the game play how I want it to play, whether it be a straight up racer or a takedown focused crash fest..im pretty damn excited.
