Not all new, but a few of them are. I've heard a lot of people complaining about the graphics but they should realise that this game wasn't made from the ground up and is the result of a dressed up port. I'm more than satisfied with the way its looking anyhow.

I am not satisfied it being some what a port. Dont know how this will last, if you play one from the burnout -series, you have seen the main idea.

I totally understand that perspective, afterall this port will be almost half a year late when its released. Personally though I think the new Live modes will be interesting, and seeing the crashes in HD will be stunning.

Looks ok considering its a port, but why is it that when you hit another car they break into a million pieces, thats not realistic at all.

I don't know why you all complain so much - this game will run with 60fps - imagine the speed - I held out on Xbox for this version - the wait definitely seems worth IMO.

This site is usually ahead of any other site, but the nitpicking about graphics is kind of annoying. I mean if I have to read another, "it certainly doesn't look next-gen" post I'm going to puke.

Great job with the site here though!!!

Burnout should be another great addition to the franchise as long as EA can get the online right for once. That really has yet to be seen from them.

So far the pics are looking great, maybe not the highest end graphics on the 360 but not every game will have the highest end graphics people. The gameplay is more important anyways. I think people forget that if it looks great and plays like hell, it's not much of a game.

Burnout 2 would be awesome. Takedown and Revenge are nothing but childrens games. :(

I'm not interested in nicer graphics, I'd love some info if the game mechanic will be tweaked.

Maybe the "break" button will be completely removed. It's useless anyway. The only way to "break" in Burnout Revenge is not to boost anymore. Retarded.

In Burnout 2, boost was a priviledge, something you earned. In Burnout 4, boost is everywhere and nothing special at all. And too much boost = boring.

Burnout 2 is one of my favourite arcade racers of all time, and I certainly agree that it's the best Burnout game so far. Perhaps I wouldn't go so far as to say 3 and 4 are kids games, but they're certainly geared towards a "dumber" audience who like the crashes more than the actual driving. Before Takedown Burnout really wasn't big in the US and now it is so we prolly won't see any return to skill based roots ever for the series.

To me, that's something of a shame, but at the same time, do we really want to play the same game over and over? No, I think we all agree we do not. Enjoying Burnout 2 on Xbox is totally possible, and soon enough it'll be BWC on the 360 for some HD Burnout 2 action aswell. 3 and 4 both are hugely different, first of all from the first two games and second even between themselves. Even though the series will never be good the way 2 was again, it keeps changing and soon enough it'll prolly become something else entirely and at that the best around.

Personally I find that Takedown wanted to be an actiony, crashy racer but retained too much of Burnout 2's "don't crash!" mentality for it to work, whereas Revenge basically goes "sod racing properly!" and it's a total fucking crash fest - and as such I think it does what it sets out to do better. I'm excited about Revenge and I held off buying it when I heard about this 360 port. Regardless of what people think of the graphics, it's the best looking, most feature packed version of Burnout Revenge around, and that's enough for me.

Charging $60 for a "port" instead of a full-blown video game that suppose to take years in development? Seriously just make the game backward compatible if they are just going to port it, else give it a $30 price tag instead of the $60. Gamers are really lame sometimes when they don't realize they're being ripped off.

Yea, I didn't mean the graphics, they look nice. And in the end, that is not I am after when I buy a game. Of course you want to see something "cool and groundbreaking" when you get a +350e console+gear. Totally acceptable. The power that we have in these next-gen machines should be put in making game devs wildest dreams true. Take Silicon Knight's "Too Human" for an example. In the end we have seen this car crashing racer before haven't we?

Defo not the same visual impact that the other criterion game shave on old gen. This should be their shout out title, looks too last gen with a lick of next gen paint. I held out on the xbox version in a hope this would kick ass, may just pick up the xbox one out of a bargain bin for a tenner!

I am a Burnoout fanatic and own all of the titles (on XBox). I loved Burnout2, but love the chaotic direction that the franchise turned to in Brunout3:Takedown. I liked Burnout4:Revenge as well, but still riding the fence if I'm going to pick this up on the XBox360 since I already have the XBox version. And I know that there are some games being released soon on te XBox360 that will really occupy a lot of my spare time. So I'm leaning towards picking this up later on sale for cheap or possibly used. $60 retail for a dressed up port? Or is there more to the game than the PS2 and XBox360 version. Most of the talked seems to be on graphics, I'm more concerned with game mechanics and content.

You know ... I agree with you on a few things you said, and its just a trend that happens with sequels to games and can be seen SSOO easily in every genre.

Burnout 2 was not my favorite, burnout 3 was, but I definitely know that Burnout 2 was harder than burnout 3. I played B4 on the XBox and was just shocked at how EASY the game was. You could now just PLOW through all of the oncoming traffic with no penalties, and its so easy to get boost now a days.

But don't get me wrong, I'm going to get B4 on the 360 most likely because I enjoy the live aspect of this game.

But back to the subject ... it's just a trend. B3 was much easier than B2, and B4 is much easier than B3. They do this to make the game appeal the the general gaming market by making it easier. It will lure in all the "noobs" (i hate saying that word but in this context its worth it).

Just look at Halo 2. Halo 2 is a great game, and has much more attention than halo 1 did, but Halo 2 is WWAAYY easier than Halo 1. It was "noobified" to say the least.

The same thing goes with Tony Hawk. Compare Tony Hawk now to how it was on PSX. on PSX it would be so difficult to get a combo of more than 100K. Now you can do that with your eyes closed. The game is too easy.

Same thing with Tiger Woods ... TW2K4 was my favorite in the series. Then 2K5 came out and everyone on xbox live was just averaging scores of like -20 ... ridiculous. Then 2K6 came around and they screwed the putting all up lol.

I could go on and on with this list of sequels becoming easier than the previous one, but thats just the trend. I just wish they would make games harder. I am always up for a challenge. So far, COD2 on veteran is the hardest challenge I've had on the 360, and hardest I've played in a long time.

But regardless, these pics look pretty good and I'm gonna be picking this up :)

Some people will just never understand that until they see this stuff in motion on a 360 you can't truly appreciate what is happening or what it looks like.

I'll most likely be picking this one up, but man.... I saw something recently and oh my god i can't wait for too human for the 360!!!!! It could be one of the best games ever made.

The online mode is going to be fantastic. It uses Xbox Live to the fullest extent, and sounds like it'll be damned good. I held out on Revenge because I knew it was coming out for the 360, and it looks like I was smart to do so :)
