Xbox 360 PS3

Atari today relaunched the Central Dark webpage for Alone In The Dark. The game is planned to be released in May on PS2, Wii, Xbox 360 and PC, while the PS3 version is being released "later this year", and we got some new images from the game.

I am really looking forward to this. The video looked great. I hope the PS3 isnt getting special stuff, but from my understanding, most PS3 games have to be downgraded or changed from the 360 version.

Won't this be the first third-person horror game to release this generation? I'll give it a shot if only for that reason (love the genre)

EDIT: Wait, I forgot Dead Rising. Still, only two horror games for every 300 shooters :(

Dead Rising is as much a Survival horror, as Crackdown is a Plain Ol' Shooter.

0 horror games for all the crappy PS3 shooters, is it now?

Crappy graphics.
They have been seriously downgraded since the first time we saw it, very disappointing.

Who said anything Crackdown? Or PS3? My point is that there are too many shooters this time around, and not enough of everything else.

Did you not read the post where Crackdown was mentioned? He was comparing calling Dead Rising a survival horror to calling Crackdown a shooter to show how ridiculous it is to place Dead Rising in that genre. He was essentially debating your choice to call Dead Rising a survival horror.

He also just said that there is a huge lack of horror games. Does it matter that he specified PS3, to which this game is also heading?

I really hope this game is scary.

As for graphics... The outside shot looks HAWT. I hope they don't have to downgrade it too much more to fit on PS3. And if they do, perhaps only that version.

Well, Starfox just stated the PS3 to make a fanboyish statement, which is why he is on my ignore list. Anyway, PS3 multiplatform games being delayed = crappy half-assed port in my book. We've seen it happen with Stranglehold, we've seen it happen with MoH Airborne (though to be honest, the game sucks in total), and we will see it in this game. Won't be picking this up for my PS3 it seems.

The demo looked awesome. This is Atari's last chance to turn a profit before they close the doors.
