Absolutely stunning looking game! Puts Killzone 2 to shame, easily!

Glad they parted with the boring jungle environments from the first part...

I know that Elena was an AI and this girl looks to be one too....Maybe CO-OP and even better yet online CO-OP? This game would lend itself nicely to the game mechanic. Game looks great. Series is picking up where Indiana (Lucasarts) dropped the ball.

The emphasis on combat in the screens so far has me worried. It would be a shame if this ended up as just another GOW clone. The platforming stuff in the first game was already too infrequent, which was a shame as it was the best part.

Yeah, this, and RE5, and Gears 2, and a number of other games. But this game is just a bit less then RE5 on the detail and a good bit moreon the scale. Looks great. I hope they keep the old hair, I dunno why but it looked great before.

I was thinking the same thing about online co-op, I don't think it would work though.
Think about it. The game requires you to traverse difficult terrain, often with bits of it crumbling away as you go. Another player would just get in the way or slow you down. If it was just a straight shooter or had context only actions for jumping (RE5) then it wouldn't be a problem, uncharted's free roaming nature would make things much more difficult.

Personally I would rather it stayed single player only anyway, that way ND can concentrate on making the story and characters as interesting and believable as possible.

Yeah, this, and RE5, and Gears 2, ...
NO, dude. Fail.

I haven't seen a game that looks and feels as organic and alive as Killzone 2. And Uncharted 2 hasn't yet impressed me as much as Killzone 2. All three, RE5, GeOW2 and U2 look far too clean and static for my taste.

Stop trying to spread the damage control by trying to discredit Killzone 2 of its visual achievement. If all those games looked better than it, there certainly wouldn't be nearly as much fuss about it.

looks great, but i still havent finished the first one. it just got kinda repetitive towards the latter stages. bang bang, cover, bang bang, simple puzzle.

Yes I could see the possible problems with the CO-OP mechanic in such a game. And I too really hope that they concentrate on making the best possible solo campaign first and foremost, as that is my method of choice.

in terms of anti aliansing, you're probably right, but i personally consider uncharted to be the best looking game on console so far...and this already looks better. if they add anti aliasing then i'd say it was a dead cert it's gonna come close to those screens.

after all, we dont have a clue what sort of improvements and optimisations naughty dog have done to their engine.

There's more to games than just their graphics. I'm more interested in seeing how this one plays, as I found the first one to be okay, but certainly nothing special.

Well, seeing as Drakes fortune didn't look a million miles away from these screens I don't see why it couldn't.

I just read a bit of info from a recent press demo of the game. Apparently the person playing shot the top of a guards riot shield causing it to move back forming a makeshift ramp, he then ran up the "ramp", dropped down behind the guard, and broke his neck. Awesome!

as i've said before concerning other games.

when it comes to screenshots theres not much you can discuss in terms of sound, gamplay, story etc. litterally the only thing you can judge fairly is the visuals since thats all a screenshot is....a snapshot depicting how awesome (or not in some cases) a game looks.

untill they release more footage/a demo, all can really say is how awesome the graphics look.

Definitely looks superb.

The first ones gameplay bored me a bit though...Which was a big shame because I bought a PS3 for it (don't worry folks, other games more than made-up for it :P).

I hear in this one there are different grounds (low, rooftops, midle etc) and more platforming so gameplay already improved in my books!

And the graphics DAYUM! Of course they improved.
Next to Killzone 2, best looking PS3 game YET!
And imagine if devs keep improving lol....in 2 years PS3 games will be looking photo-realistic :p

Not super thrilled with this environment, I'm getting really tired of the 'ruined cities' design in so many games. IMO doesn't look as good as RE5 on 360 or KZ2 on PS3. The original Uncharted gave me a better impression, but I liked the environment design.

Do you have a PS3 flag outside your house ?

Screens look good, can't say I like the setting though.

Resident Evil 5 is multiplatform and only one environment is ruined city. You also get ancient mountain cities!

no, i do have an opinion tho, hence the "as far as i'm concerned"

i couldnt care less if this was on ps3, 360 or even the wii for christs sake, i dont give two hoots, it'd still think it was the best looking game next to killzone. it's not my fault the ps3 has 2 of the best looking games on consoles....it's just the way it is.
