Images of Dead Space

Electronic Arts announces the development of Dead Space, which is supposed to be a "chilling universe of sci-fi horror". The player controls Isaac Clarke, a space engineer. The influence of Doom III can be feeled with the enemy design as long as the scenario. An official website has been launched for the curious. Launch will happen somehwere in 2008 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Anyway, I posted these images and announcement yesterday, and I will make a short comment.

It looks like Resident Evil/Bioshock in space with dark atmosphere.

I am ALL for the dark sci-fi stuff...and this is very interesting for sure.
But we all need a trailer and gameplay footage so we can see how it looks in motion, atleast I do.

Like artsick said, the helmet looks weird. Otherwise i think it looks alright. Some actual gameplay would be nice to see though.

Let's see, Isaac Asimov, Arthur C Clarke, hmm.

If those sci-fi authors are their basis for inspiration, we should be in for a treat!
