PS3

Capcom Europe released these images of Devil May Cry 4, and as always now with next-gen Capcom titles it looks great.

Yeah, it looks beautiful on a nice monitor. But the gameplay video I've seen has serious slowdown, and the mechanics seem kinda outdated. Capcom better tighten it up AND release it on 360!

And Capcom had better release Lost Planet and Dead Rising for PS3. It's only fair, right?! </sarcasm>

Looks good, though the static cam kinda bothers me, well actually, I hate static cam in games...

Have you never played the previous installments? It'd be nigh on impossible to play the game with a free cam...

As far as the slowdown, i think that might have been intentional to show the people attending the show how many things are going on at the same time on the screen. I doubt they would show off that section of the game if there was really that much slowdown. And the gameplay mechanics work great so why mess with what works? Halo's gameplay mechanics will essentially be the same as previous installments, i dont see anyone complaining. At least DMC's gameplay has refined itself with each iteration...

Ninja Gaiden didn't have a free cam, at least not from what I played of it. And btw ,DMC4 does have a free cam, Gamespot said it in the demo impressions from TGS.

Ninja Gaiden does have a free cam, well...kind off.
It has a sort of static cam, but you can reposition the cam behind you with the 'right' trigger, which works like a charm.
I know, it sounds pretty awkward, and it is at first, but once you get familiar with it, it's perfect, though Ninja Gaiden as a whole is pretty much perfect... ;)

You say DMC4 has a free cam? Doesn't look like it in the vids I've seen.
I sure hope you're right though..!

Um...if repositioning the cam is what your lookin for you could do that in DMC3 by pressing the R3 button. ( at least i think it was R3)
