Xbox 360

Microsoft updated the official Xbox.com page of Idea Factory's RPG Diario: Reverse Moon Legend with these 10 images. Another game that will certainly never be released outside Japan, but I don't doubt the majority here won't care anyway.

Wow, I'm just glad the Japanese devs haven't given up yet. MS must be passing around some ginormous money hats for all these Japanese devs to still be making games for the system.

Japan's a lost cause, you wanna get to their wallets? buy an exclusivity for Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest and every major R.P.G you can get, and release them as soon as the **** possible not light years from now and complain : But but but..why isn't my 360 winning over there ?!
While they've already got the PS3 with a $h!t load of promised R.P.Gs and a couple of Final Fantasies already on the way.

Just compare FF13 with this game's pics and you'll know what i mean, if you look at the pics it'll remind you a something that's got released on the PS1 in 1996 and got forgotten, or even on the freaking NDS.

If you can't, focus on Europe and the rest of the world.

I LOVE how they deal a truly ridiculous amount of damage in these pics, i mean come on, 527385 damage?

Seriously though, this doesn't actualy look that bad, its 2D-Tactics, thats fine with me, and the PS2 has seen a fair share of these types of games released in the states, so who knows? Maybe we'll see this one after all!

I think there's a good chance that both this game and Spectral Force 3 (another 360 Idea Factory JRPG) will get released in the US, most likely by NIS. After all they did release a bunch of PSP Idea Factory games like Generation of Chaos and Spectral Souls here. Plus they'll have extremely limited competition as the only JRPGs out on the 360 right now are Enchanted Arms and Phantasy Star Universe neither of which are that great, even if you add Blue Dragon to the mix that's still only 3 JRPGs so I really think there's room for them. However they can't wait too long to release them because there are quite a few promising JRPGs on the horizon like Eternal Sonata, Infinite Undiscovery, Lost Odyssey and Cry On.

Looks pretty sweet, I like the art style. I wish they would release it here, but I doubt we'd be so lucky.. not every game has to be a GoW to be fun.

They don't need to WIN Japan, just remain competitive and the 360 will then see it's fair share of great games. IMHO I don't think they're quite there yet, but they are on a good track and doing much better than the older Xbox did.

Too many times I hear people whine saying, "The Japanese aren't buying the 360 because they're all nationalists." While that is true to some extent the same can be said about just every other country. They are much more of a consumer than they are of a nationalist and the Ipod is a good example of that.

The problem MS is having is they did what car manufacturers did decades ago trying to break into the Japanese market. They refused to make cars with the steering wheel on the right side and scratched their heads wondering why none of the Japanese bought their cars. Well, MS should have done some head scratching before they released their first console into Japan and now they're paying the price.

Nooo! An inteligent response in a forum - surely the end is nigh!

But yes, I agree - I loved the xbox, but MS did a very poor job both on industrial design (has there ever been an uglier consumer product? Don't answer that...) and software line-up, with almost zero games designed to appeal to the Japanese gamer's mindset. It just goes to show that a big enough misstep can cost you for a good deal later.

They need to WIN Japan to WIN the Japanese companies support for more Japanese oriented games to appeal to all kinds of market tastes, so to speak as for this type of game, it's just a left overs of a FUBAR project when the real deals are headed to the PS3 consumers and every body know it, bring me Grandia, FF, DQ and all those known for-and-to-be AAA titles and I'll be more than happy.

Till then, my fingers are crossed for LO.

You know, instead of making five crappy low budget games, Idea Factory should pool all their resources together and try to make one good game.

Wooah SRPG, And it looks almost identical to Nippon Icchi's games, And if it's just 50% as good as them, it's a hit.

Really sad that they always insist to never release games worldwide ><, only games who release fully worldwide is boring sport games.

AAAAAAA man lol, this game was on my list. Now its not coming out of japan :(
Its sad saying most people wont even care about this game, but what can i say, you speak the truth. People seems to only care for Halo, FFXIII, MGS4, GoW and Mass effect. I swear, i would easily give mass effect for a U.S release of this game.

I guess this game would have been awesome on xbla.

I'm a sucker for these kinds of games, but they could have improved the graphics, like come on, the latest PS2 game Ar tonelico has better sprites than this =P But If it comes to NA I'll get it (assuming its only $50)

Damn, are you sure this isn't a Xbox Live arcade game!? Japan really is starting to look like a lost cause for Microsoft, they really need to outsell PS3 for Japanese devs to get interested in the 360 over PS3. Although i heard PS3 wasn't selling like hot cake there either...

Have you ever heard of Idea Factory .. ?

They are one of the lowest budget Japanese dev's around.

After importing Spectral Force 3, I think i will gladly pass this, SF3 was way too hard and too time consuming.

Not a fan of SRPG's.
