Xbox 360

Microsoft finally released some medias for the XBLA release of Banjo-Kazooie. And as expected, it's the good old N64 Banjo-Kazooie, rendered in 720p. Why the secret in the first place?

I'm glad they're doing this. For some reason I never played the old ones on my 64

Banjo-Tooie is coming early next year too! :D

Looks absolutely excellent... a faithful port than retains the look of the original - thankfully they've not messed the visuals up by updating them - but the anti-aliasing and widescreen support are welcome. Can't wait until 14th November when I can download this two weeks earlier, thanks to the free voucher offer with B-K: Nuts & Bolts from GAME.

Apparently there are rumours that the secret areas in this game - which were supposed to be unlocked in the sequel but where dropped when the N64 was redesigned - will be appearing in this version of the game so we'll finally be able to see EVERYTHING.

Are those secret areas the ones with found in that shark island and that big silver key? I remember seeing those when playing the game and finding out that the only way to get to them was to have banjo tooie but that never happened. I believe you can still access those areas in the N64 and get the key, as well as some secret eggs though I never knew what would happen if you got to them

I was somewhat hoping 1200mp would mean a Conker Xbox like remake, but this is alright too. Apparenly Tooie is planned for early next year aswell.

Fuckin loved this game. I reworked the original textures for this game once and got bored of doing it. It would be great if Rare did the same for this release, as you can see, it adds a bit of new life to the game.

dude the graphics are really bad... the textures are really stretch and everthing is so blocky, this is NEXT gen right? it looks like Wii title or something. not a 360. and I doubt that they have anything innovative about the gameplay, it looks like the same linear game that came out 10 years ago!...

Are you serious? It's an N64 game, what do you expect?

I absolutely love your texture pack. I used it for emulating the game on Project 64 and it improves the visuals a lot without destroying the original art style, as it tends to be the case with other texture pack. It's a pity you didn't get to finish it.

I would have completed it, but I found it to be too much of an enormous task. There are literally thousands of textures in the game. I completed a few levels, and some of the main hub world in Grunty's castle. What annoyed me was that the texture dumping plug-in for the emulator didn't want to dump certain textures that were required to complete the job for certain areas, so 95% of the textures were redone high res, while a few squares were the original blurry ones and it just upset the balance. Shame that.

You're kidding, right?

This is a port of the N64 game, being released for those who didn't originally play it because the third game is coming soon.

What are you talking about?? I can´t belive it DD It´s OBVIOUS that this Banjo is the same Banjo on N64, and the next gen Banjo is Nuts and Bolts, with stunning graphics and new fresh gameplay

They are both Rare games and maybe, just maybe, he thinks PD was the better game.

I understand the relation of the release with the new Banjo game, but I hope they fix the retarded camera operations.

Banjo is the first step, and Banjo Tooie is coming too. Let´s see what happen with other Rare N64 titles, like Perfect Dark, Killer Instinct... I think It would be nice to see Jet Force Gemini on Xbox live without framerate issues.
