Xbox 360

Bioware is on a roll and releases three more images of Mass Effect, still focused on the Krogan race. Very, very nice.

Lighting is awesome. This is the level of detail I wish for Halo 3.

Yep, that is actual in game animations being played by the krogan Warlord, so that's how he'll look in game.

Well, when he's not shooting you, that is.

Character detail is good, but something i have had a concern with for quite a while is why are the backgrounds so sparse and bare.

Is that a subtle hint that the combat engine lacks self shadows?

Hmmmmm...........flash animations for all of the races and characters would be a great change from static images.

While I don't quite think they're fugly, I really don't find them all that impressive, and I would be pretty upset if Halo 3's campaign looked like this.

Grrrrrrr I really dont like those plastiky looking textures on picture 3 and oln every single game that uses unreal engine 3 ... I just dont bloody like it! and I have to agree with Jollipop here, the environments do look and bland and lifeless.
