After E3's gorgeous trailer, Konami releases four new images of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, coming next year on PSP. They showcase Snake in the jungle, Snake on a roof and Snake in a box. Routine.

i hope this controls better then portable ops

what they need to do for PSP MGS's is make it more like the first game on PSone, where it was alost isometric in view, that way the analogue nub wouldnt be an issue...it's be like playing killzone liberation, only with stealth moves.

What a waste. You simply can't do this series justice on a portable system. I'll look forward to Kojima's next game on the ps3.

I loved Portable Ops, thought it was fantastic although the controls took some getting used to. Can't wait for this baby! PSP Go + MGS Peace Walker X-D

I am extremely excited for this. Portable Ops didn't really touch on the Major Zero/Naked Snake split and it was referenced in MGS4. Hopefully this game does this and thensome.

I'm also assuming Eva will make a guest appearance to birth the Snake twins.

Portable Ops had shitty controls and storyline, so I'm not even a bit excited for this one.

You're right, I mean look at all the games that stared the series that were on inferior hardware, they were just horrid! Portable games are more then capable of being good.

The early games were all technically amazing FOR THEIR TIME. I've played through them all, as it's one of my favorite series of all time. I'm not saying that portable games can't be good. What I am saying is that this series demands full use of the latest technology to keep up with it's ambitious design and after playing through MGS4 last year I can't go back to psp quality.

They should do like they did with Twin Snakes on the Gamecube and remake this for 360 and ps3 later on.

on the other hand think how long we'd have to wait if this was a ps3 release, this should shorten the development time rather than us having to wait 4 years for kojima to work out how to stuff a 50gb disc with cutscenes

Kojima doesn't do remakes. He refuses to waste his time on them. Only reason MGS was remade was because it was outsourced to Silicon Knights. It is a shame, because I would love a remake of Metal Gear 1 and 2. All the new info from MGS4 contradicts a lot of things in those earlier games and a remake would solve them. Just like FFVII. Compilation of FFVII really, really twists the canon and makes several contradictions with the PS1 version of the game.

I know that it was outsourced to SK and that's what I'm suggesting they should do for this game as well. I would never want Kojima to waste his time on a remake, as he's way too talented for that.

Really? Cause I thought it stayed surprisingly consistent and faithful to the early games' storyline especially considering how convoluted it can be at times.
