After watching the most recent gameplay walkthrough it seems as if Platinum have done it again, Square-Enix has the right idea about how to use Platinum and that is if you want an unparalleled action experience they are your guys.
Looks a lot like what the Rising sequel was meant to be (I guess because it is the same director) and that's not a bad thing, not a bad thing at all. :D
Oh and they have exercised their muscle this gen and produced a turd (Legend of Korra) and an OK game (Transformers: Devastation).

Scalebound should look better, it's aiming for half the frame-rate, so that's not a surprise at all, it's also the studio's most ambitious title to date, but Nier right now looks so much more polished than Scalebound pre-alpha and is likely coming out way before it anyway.
That being said, Nier: Automata also has its own style, an area that Scalebound hasn't quite found its feet in yet, but I imagine with the delay and E3 looming we'll see a very different Scalebound and one that hasn't been dumpster-diving in the UE4 asset packs.
Not that 30fps is a problem, Okami was a fantastic game.
