Electronic Arts releases some new renders of Burnout Paradise. Some are more close to artworks than screenshots, but hey.. It's not like we're not used to it. Nice colors anyway!

Looks good. I only hope it will bring back the fun of the second episode of the game. But creating an open world was a good decision for the series IMO. Is this game still developped by Criterion, or is it now a total EA-Game??

HAH, EA, no wonder it looks completly like NFS Pro Street.... Lame.

This franchise use to be fun as hell, i hope they bring that back, but seeing that EA was mentioned, i doubt it, bring back acclaim tbh.

So EA is just the publisher?! Okay. Yeah, now I remember. I was affraied to hear EA has been involved into the franchise BurnOut... I also had the 3rd and 4rth title, but didn't like 'em like the second one. Hm... hope this one is gonna go back to the roots ^^

No, Criterion is EA's development team, and I think that they are awesome.

Yeah, Criterion are cool. look at what they took out of good old PS2. Quite the same games as on Xbox. Really remarcable. Hope they handle PS3 as good as PS2.

Are they still letting you ram traffic out of the way? The series has felt dumbed down ever since. Hopefully it's back to the Burnout 1 and 2 style. Otherwise cool stuff

You can take it off, have it like Revenge where the car magically flies, or have it slow you down a bit when you hit the car, and it won't go flying away either.

I think that's what it is like =/

Hmmm, I think the xbox got quite the same games as on PS2 if you want to be pedantic. But they wrung the tits on that PS2, true enough. I can't believe how much whining PS3 folk do about games not being optimised for their systems when there's barely any difference between a 360 and a PS3. If anyone had a right to whinge it would be the xbox 1 folk as they truly got stiffed on anything not from MS games or UBisoft.

.. or the Saturn or the Dreamcast or the Gamecube or the N64 folks.

The Playstation fans are getting a small taste of their own medicine these days, and it is bitter. Sadly its not in very big doses and no amount of torment can repay for the acts of their evil empire, figuratively speaking.

evil empire?

WHAAAA??

i think the only evil empire and growing is EA, and nintendo pretty much has destroyed hardcore gaming for the next next gen of consoles..anything cute is to be suspected!

My favorite Burnout was Burnout 2, but I like the way the crashes look, and the gameplay of this one seems better than the last few...

I'm going to have a hard time deciding which platform to buy this on, the developer really talked up the PS3 version, but I HATE EA Trax, and using my custom soundtracks could make the game for me...

looks to be great, for those wanting a burnout 2 experience you will be happy to know its all included...at least online. you can customise your racers to play like any of the 4 previous games and the features they added. never liked traffic checking, you can remove it, prefared the linked burnouts from #2, then you can use that method. or how about a single full charge, single use method from the original burnout. its all in there which to me is awesome. i really liked 2 but also loved 3's introduction of rivals and takedowns. so i'll be mixing between those quite a lot. its great you can switch up between the straight up racing of 1/2 or have it play like the more recent crash heavy games.

Yeah, definitely dreamcast, you're right there buddy. That was the definitive performance gap that got PS1 ports and no love from EA whatsoever. Great f'n console. thopugh.

That might make sense if EA were growing.. financially, they're behind Activision for the first time ever.
