The Xbox Live Arcade title Galaga was released earlier today for a price of 400p, and Microsoft released these images to show you some more of the game. The demo is of course free and who doesn't want to try out this classic?

I'm not sure that's true. Two things happened in the demo that I never remember seeing before in any version of Galaga: 1) The enemies "pulse" and scale bigger/smaller, trippy effect; 2) One of my ships was "captured" and then started shooting back at me.
Well this, if anything, is an ancient relic of gaming. What did you expect? It's like dusting off a muzzle-loading pee shooter from 1882 (its not a rifle, there was no rifling in the barrel) and expecting a 50cal sniper rifle.
But ouch, that static, razor-sharp, high contrast background will hurt some older plasma screens.
And also, I'd like to get the option for the non-bilinear upscale (called power of two) as seen in the "how to play" screens. Blurry pixels dont do it for me.
It's amazing how difficult it is for these people to quadruple one pixel into four without filtering.
these old old arcade games will catch the attention of people that alredy went through that face of videogames.. Me on the other hand my very first console was an atari 2600 and after that was the 16-bit world..
Thats why some people dont like these games! there is no past conecting them (incuding my self).. To us is just another really old game.
My first was a Nintendo I sat on it all day to play super mario and ghost & goblins. Galaga is awsome!! I had Namco Museum for N64 and bet my older cousin for money I could get to level 24 and up and still today he ows me 205$ ;)
Hmmm if this is the quality of games coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade at those prices then people are going to look to the Wii. I'd rather pay them prices for an old Nes game than Galaga and Pac-Man
Here are my questions to Microsoft in a list!
1. Why would you make people pay for games they played years ago?
2. Why do you make us pay for crap that already cost as much as our cable bill?
3. Why is Bill Gates so happy with all that money? hmm....
