Ensemble Studios and Microsoft release four new images of the highly anticipated Halo Wars, RTS based on the universe of Bungie's classic series. Just beautiful.

the deffnition of troop transporter in most franchises is a Big Slow-ass vehicle compared to the lighter ones.
Advance Wars comes to mind. There surely are other more "conventional" RTS that have them like that, too.

I said "There are other convention RTS that are the same!"
It a free take if they use it on a real SP game. Why do you assume that it's gonna be as slow as an FPS game where it's used as a base and not a transport?
Did you see the porpotion between the spartans and the scrab in the Gamepro Scans? It's called tweaking, for the genera sake. It doesn't have to be faithful to the last tinny bit. They have to make it work in the type of game. So, if you think it's a slow for a transporter in that kind of game, I'm sure they will make the necessary tweaking to be perfect gameplay-wise.
I don't see the problem in using The Elephant, really. For air transport, there is always the Pelicans.

Yhea. I don't see the problem in using The Elephant, really. For air transport, there is always the Pelicans.
And for once, it supports co-op and system link. Yay.
<sarcasm> The Elephant moved so slow in Halo3, so that means that it will handle and drive exactly the same in a totally different style (RTS) game also! OMFG the choice of turret placement clearly indicates that it is meant as a base and not to transport troops, so this is utter lip-service to people who played Halo3 because they recognize it! </sarcasm>
Come on, seriously. I swear I've never seen so many whiners in my life. I've been visiting this site for a long long time and have only recently decided to post, but gamers have become the most narcissistic whiney little babies I've ever seen.
At the very least, how about you wait and see how they execute the use of the Elephant in the game, or even better yet, wait to see if that's the ONLY choice of troop-transport that there is before you start whining about it. How can you possibly look at a few screenshots and make the deductions that you're making, honestly?
I think it looks great and I'm really itching to see how awesome it is. I don't really care that it's 'Halo' (but I am a huge fan of Halo), it's the fact that it's Ensemble. They make the best RTS's on PC and I have 100% faith in their ability to make a great console RTS. 100% confidence.

This is a place to debate about games, I'm not complaining, I'm not aggressive. I let that other guy say his thing and respected his opinion. What's wrong with debating about what's already on the table? Sure the game isn't out yet, but I can see what the fucking unit looks like and I can dam well tell what I think about it. Maybe you should do the same some time instead of lurking around here and occasionally posting "zomg dis game looks gooood". This is a place for debate, you have NOTHING to offer us or this site as a whole if you don't want express your views in a good, clean ARGUMENT.
Im actually looking forward to this game, I care about it. But If see something I dont like you bet your uptight ass I'm gonna call it. Not everyone is so passive and indifferent as you are...
but then again i doubt their will be a dedicated transport... why? well lets see the warthog handles 3 people, and pretty much every ransport can technically handle multiple marines... so why have a dedicated troop transport
edit: as a note in pic 2 is that even the elephant??? those in the pic have covered rears unlike the elephant.
