"dividing opinions"? Really?

I still find it very hard to believe that the game will look this good on consoles. This is just too much.

If it looks somewhere near that level on consoles, i'm all for it.

Sadly, I don't think it will ...Yeah. Some people, including myself, regret buying it to a certain extent.

Whilst some find it extremely over-rated, some love it - hence the divided opinion.

ya as a lot of people loved it early on but after a while got bored, like me... i actually kind of regret buying it as well... it was great at first but quickly took a turn for the worst and became repetative i so want to finish the story but cant... and multiplayer is iffy at best only cool thing is the racing and even that can go downhill fast...

mafias looking interesting but i dont know the game LOOKS spectacular... but i jsut wory of the gameplay.

Mafia shots are looking amazing. I'm not so worried about them being able to do those level of graphics on consoles so much as I am worried about the frame rate. Back in the day the first one became a horrible mess when you had the cops after you sometimes, even on the PC.

This game just makes me realize even more that a sandbox game in different time periods would be awesome. I'm waiting for the mid-19th century sandbox game. Grand Theft Horse & Buggy.

It took out most of the fun and crazy things from previous GTAs. I think you know what I mean without having to go too in depth about it.These are PC shots.

Hope they can match the consoles up, but I doubt it.

More to the point though, anything that isn't tryign to be GTA and failign miserably is good. Ironically GTA itself finally tripped on that unfortunate criterion, and now have an average game.

The only reason it's still good is indeed the Euphoria. Without it, this game would have logn been back in GameStation for me.

But Mafia is no real sandbox game, but I think you know that. I'm happy about this, because they are focused on story, atmosphere etc. GTA IV was the first game of the franchise that came a bit closer to Mafias presentation, but I'll never understand why the never have a score for the cutscenes. A decent soundtrack can make a game much more dramatic.

Looks great, but yeah those here are a really high end PC shots.

It's sad that there's so many idiots and that people don't call them out for what they are. Gamersyde does gaming a disservice when they acknowledge such idiocy.

If you didn't like GTA4, you will HATE Mafia 2, I guarantee you. If you don't you're some sort of stupid hypocrite.

The thing people seem to be complaining about with GTA4 is there is they got bored. I think that's more of a problem with the gamer themselves, and that if GTA4 is a bad game IYO, what's a good game? Either way, GTA4 is closer to Mafia 1 than the previous GTA games, not far closer but a few steps (I'll agree with that much). So to that extent, people that loved GTA3, VC, and/or SA will find Mafia 2 to take the GTA4 angle to a larger extreme. Just a simple linear chart, if GTA3 is a 8 on this 'craziness' scale, GTA4 is a 5, Mafia 1 was a 1, I don't see Mafia 2 pushing back the other way, like Saint's Row 2 will be doing.

Thanks for the flowers. I won't discuss why I don't like GTA 4, all I can say is that it failed for me as A GAME. The team around SR 2 took on that problem rather well but there were some other issues...

Mafia was an excellent game, I'm really looking forward to playing Mafia 2. Hope they can have the same graphical quality that what is shown here on consoles too.

If GTA4 fails for you as a game, then you fail as a gamer. Did you actually play the game? You're also a hypocrite for liking Mafia and not liking GTA4. YOU are the problem with gaming these days.

You know, we live in a society where people are entitled to opinions and have a right to like or dislike whatever they choose. I, like others, did not enjoy GTAIV and was massively disappointed. One of the essential features of a game should be to entertain, i.e fun to play.

The initial wow factor that you get from GTA IV when you first load up the game is unquestionable. However, the game got quickly repetitive and suddenly the little touches and features seemed irrelevant to me because the game was no longer that fun to play.

So yeah, don't get in a hissy fit. Despite all the 10s GTAIV got, some people actually didn't enjoy it as much as they had hoped. I can clearly see you have a passion for the game - fair enough - but let others have their say and try not to be too offensive with your response.

To stay on topic somewhat, I am looking forward to this game even though I know the level of quality will be significantly lower for the console version.

Looks gr8t but I'm concerned about AA in this game... On screens it looks like AA 8x or even 16x just like BF:BC screens looked like, anyway as we can see in real gameplay of BF:BC on ps3 and x360 there is barely aa 2x or there is no aa at all ;/

I dont really think that both x360 and ps3 can handle such a gr8t graphics + gr8t aa :/

When you strip down the game from all elements that are just presentation you're left with some medicore and very repetative missions and an even more medicore story that is dramaticaly lacking in all departments. I don't want to play Sims, I wanted a GTA!

Are YOU serious? When you strip this game down you have about 20 hours of gameplay. Dead on control (the best of any game in the genre), a mobile cover system, a huge very detailed 3d world... Some of the mission goals are mediocre, some are repetitive, and the story is OK. That doesn't make the game Sims, THAT is what an idiot and/or fanboy would say. Why are people hating on a game that excels in so many ways? I can't imagine how people could be this fucking stupid. I even hear some people saying the control in GTA4 sucks, HOLY SHIT. Those same people go on to say GTA3 was more fun. WOW. People are fucking stupid, I'm sorry.
