It's been a long time since the last time we heard about Red Faction: Guerrilla ! The third instalment of this mediocre but quite singular series is now showcased through a new pack of screenshots. It doesn't look very good, but we'll wait for videos of the destruction engine before being worried about it.

And snoopers to say it does not look very good? your expectations of games graphics must be rather over the top.

I just hope the environments won't be too repetitive as I fear it will, considering this will be an open-world based game on Mars of all planets. :|

The first red faction was ok, (considering it was a fairly early ps2 game) The second was a bit yawnish I agree.
Edit: And I just checked the wikipedia site for the game and it says third-person shooter too
This is all about mp btw, single player wasn't all that great.
tech wise i expect to be able to blow holes in practically everything in this game...if that doesnt end up being the case then its just a wasted opertunity imo. i dont like the idea of a third person view, and i dont like this environment being shown. far to baron. its easy to tout ultimate destructability when a typical scene consists of a few crates scattered about a flat plain...lol
But as they told one poignant commenter on their official forums "go write your own streaming engine." Yes, and then you'll fix yours?

"For a start it's in THIRD PERSON, a switch the developer says is crucial to both hopping into a new free-roaming sandbox set-up, and a world where you can be killed by a factory chimney falling from 100ft away. "
Anyhoo, the game looks nice enough...hope we get to see some gameplay footage soon..
