Sega unveils its TGS line-up and releases some pretty images of Ryu ga Gotoku 3, most known as the third "Yakuza" under this side of the globe. We hope the game will be released in the West, even if the first Yakuzi did bomb everywhere but in Japan.
Update: 4 images added.
Update2: And here comes the first trailer, in low resolution only.

Commented on 2007-09-14 10:07:47edit: the faces look wonderfully modelled, bet the animation of them sucks as usual sadly, very very few games get that remotely close to being right, and the ones that do are mediocre/average titles (not naming any names, you know who you are!)

Well, when the athmosphere is so good like the previous titles, and the gameplay a bit better, then I already know, THIS IS A SUPER DUPER TOP TITLE!!!!!!!

Commented on 2007-09-14 12:38:52At any rate, there was a Ryu ga Gotoku 2? A game after Yakuza? I guess then that it never got released here? Sucks.

Commented on 2007-09-14 16:08:19Sega seems to be doing pretty well as far as decent games are going. Now we just need Shenmue 3 for 360!

Commented on 2007-09-14 16:11:47Makes more sense with the japanese title really, which was always roughly "Like a Dragon". I thought Yakuza was a good, concise name for the game in the west, but it's sure to make more people go "huh!?" in regards to this one being a sequel. Then again, no more "huh!?"-y than Apollo Justice being "Phoenix Wright" 4.
Aaaanyyyyhooooo, the fighting engine (extension of Spikeout's but with added RPG elements) was *Fantastic* in Yakuza, especially halfway into the game and onwards, so this should be equally great. Guns and stuff never played a particularly big role in Yakuza either, so the transistion should be virtually seamless.
I'll just miss Kiryu. :(
Commented on 2007-09-14 16:31:23 In reply to SimonM7I really liked Yakuza too, the only downside being beating up punks in the street all the time. And well, i would honestly consider getting a PS3 again if this comes out in europe.

Commented on 2007-09-15 03:04:05 In reply to MegidoAt the end of the trailer, the young girl is asking the lead character to kill Miyamoto Musashi. So it could be that in the beginning of the game, the lead lives under the alias Kiryu(a homage to the 1st game from developers) and later the story unravels the fact that he himself is Miyamoto Mushashi. An interesting twist in a videogame, IMO. Much like a cool novel or something.
Impressive eh :)
