Japanese magazine Famitsu's website releases no less than seventeen images of Street Fighter IV. The quality is average, but it's still better than nothing especially considering it features a lot of different characters.
This is Street Fighter. Characters have always had crazy proportions, especially when it comes to feet. Alas, the game still looks like a PS2 title, and the fighting engine still sounds like something from the PS1 days.

Are you blind? The game looks amazing. Looks like a friggin' cartoon. The character blend in perfectly with the environment. And sometimes it looks handdrawn.

No dude, look in the main forum, I posted these images along with photos taken from the arcade cabinet, the game looks stunning in those pics. ;)
I'm guessing he's no fan of SF3/Vs either.. I wouldn't bother.
Chun-Li's hands are ridiculous BTW.. I'm used to disproportioned feat in SF, but she could kill you with one of those thumbs. I'm still concerned about the gameplay more than anything. There is just something about this all that strikes me as a product directed at an audience that hasn't paid any attention to SF since they played it on their SNES.
Yea, Chun Li could use thinner/smaller arms and hands I guess, but they could also give her boobs 2 times as big, make her eyes larger and add vibration physics.

I'm with you on this! However, I had SF2 Turbo on the megadrive, which had faster gameplay (but worse sounding elephants!)
I think that whoever this is aimed at, it should pave the way at least for additional characters to the original series, as well as some of the better sequels; third strike, etc...
man, if they were gonna add a new character, why not just bring back an alpha character like Charlie, Adon or Sodom, woulda made a bit more sense. Nevertheless, its looking sweet

Yes, I agree. The visuals are nothing short of amazing, and it introduces a new look that I always thought was possible but just figured the developers were afraid to take new directions. This new look rivals some of the best cartoons. Proof that every game does not have to look photo-realistic. I more than welcome this. Although I think it really is a waste of talent making the gameplay so 2D. Minor camera sweeps wouldn't have hurt the gameplay at all. Exactly how much difference will there be between Street Fighter HD and Street Fighter IV? In these pics we are teased with awesome camera sweeps, but we'll never see any of it until replays. I think that's lame and cowardice of the developers not to take risk. This game was super hot when I was a young teen. Most of that audience is either 30 years of age or pushing 30. Powerstone was 3D and it's fighters threw projectiles and the gameplay was great. What's the problem Capcom? This aint the 90s anymore; move on okay.
