Namco-Bandai releases a new bunch of Tales of Vesperia screenshots on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Visually it's a bit empty, but still very nice to look at.
Update: Added a new trailer, with English voices.

Isn't it a bit to early to asume that it will come to PS3. Till now Namco hasn't said a word on the matter. Will be a timed exclusive probably, but till that time these are probably just the 360 shots.

A rpg by namco ... its multiformat, if not it would be sucide for sales in japan.

No, because Namco has confirmed it is exclusive for the 360. WHich probably is timed exclusive. But you can bet your arse that MS is lobying like crazy for it. Just as they did with Eternal Sonata.

Not really ..... these games are flopping lately over there. Japan has become all about the Casual.

A lot of things are flopping in Japan, that doesn't mean they're moving towards things Americanly or Europeanly casual... nah, nothing like this has happened there nowhere... from weekly sales figures to AAA launches, everything that is selling there is unique and sticking with the old tastes...

Namco's RPGs started to fall apart in the start of the PS2 generation but rpgs made by Level-5, Tri-Ace and especially Square are holding supreme and highest. just wait and see when Final Fantsy 13 rolls out... and you can certainly check back when White Knight Story arrives for PS3.

I bet Mistwalker will only add up to Namco's league and I agree with you if that's the flopping criteria you're mentioning. Mistwalker flopped in Japan until now for they're as boring and empty as Namco-Bandai.

Uh, he's probably referring to the lack of ambient life. You have a huge city and no people, a vast forest yet no birds leaves or dust; basically making everything look....(wait for it...) empty.

Yep. They left the door open for a PS3 version, but that probably wouldn't hit until next year (the 360 version is hitting end of 2008).

Squeenix is doing that now and I believe Last Remnant will be the first. Anyways, I like Squeenix's newer localization efforts a lot. They take the time to lipsynch all of their cutscenes now.

I really like the visuals of the game. Looks very nice. But I'm a bit confused. Is the game now coming to PS3? Is it 360-time-exclusive? Or what?

its 360 exclusive for now but there is a chance that it may come to ps3 later down the line because well its namco. oh and i was wondering is eternal sonata out of the ps3 and if not when is it out on ps3 because this can show an indercation of how long after the 360 version will we see the ps3 version.

Well I for one think that this game doesn`t look half as good as Eternal Sonata does(what a shame this game was SO short..)!
Then again..I´m a big Tales of fan, so I`m definitely looking forward to this one :)

Okay, just don't use crappy VA's. It really takes away the beauty of 'simple' games. If it's possible to switch voices. Then it's a win!

That trailer showed some really nice graphics and character designs

The VA's are typical anime VA work, which isn't bad.
