Hudson Entertainment and Natsume inked a deal to bring the shmup Omega Five, a new IP, for the online network Xbox Live (XBL). The hardcore action with horizontal scrolling will launch worldwide come November 2007.

Looks nice. Characters floating in mid air without jetpacks looks a bit weird though. Is there some story behind that airwalking?
That's quite normal for Japanese shmups. It's also present in another XBLA game announced recently, Shikigami no Shiro 3.
Anyway, I watched some gameplay videos on IGN and I must say I'm very pleasantly surprised. Seems like it will be a proper hard core shmup, and a very beautiful one at that. I didn't get that impression when I first saw it in motion a few months ago.
The floating characters is less weird than the character (not present in these screens) who brings his dog along for the action. Just assume it's magic or something, I guess.
