Midway also released these seven images of Blacksite: Area 51, to be released this autumn on the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The game support online co-op, aswell as the normal online modes like Deathmatch and Capture the flag.

After The Suffering, Psi-Ops and the recent Mortal Kombat games I've developed a real keen eye for Midway. It's great because you just know they put more stuff into this kind of game than you sort of.. expect from this kind of game.

They have a very lighthearted, consoley, interesting and exciting approach to their games these days, and that's a unique quality.

Looks good, I wonder if they will keep the textures that good(vehicles etc.) in the finished game.

Psi-Ops team is doing Stranglehold. Psi-Ops did rock btw. So does The Suffering, Midway did alright last gen. Would love to see a new Suffering as well.

Is it me or is there a varying quality in those screens? I mean, looking at the gun in this:

Maybe it's just a change in screenshot resolution or something. Nonetheless, the game looks interesting. I agree with the Midway comments, they have been on good form lately.

One is captured from the January trailer, but you'll notice a lot more aliasing in those shots. This is primarly why I don't believe in most of Midways recent screenies, that WW2 game looks extremely crisp too, for a UE3 game that shouldn't have any AA on the platform.

They've got a nice line-up though, and everyone does it, so I guess it's forgivable.

or its the difference between versions. One could be from a PC the other the consoles. Or maybe the one with the crappy textures is from the ps3 lol. Its known for that sort of thing :p

The crappy textures one (from the trailer) is surely from the pc version. Because you can clearly see it from the aiming, that it's done with a mouse.

First Area 51 was a TOTAL CRAP! This one has to be MUCH MUCH MUCH better to have my attentions. Hopefully it will be intensive enough and have some variety...
