Hmm, something seems a little off... I guess it's simply impossible to make perfect ports these days. Just goes to show you how different these two consoles are.
The textures in these images don't look as crisp as the 360 version, which is a shame. However I did really enjoy this game and I hope that the PS3 release will mean more people will get to enjoy it. Just a shame it doesn't look as good as the version that came out almost a year ago...
A 360 game getting ported over to the PS3 will always look worse since companies can't be bothered to optimise it for the PS3 and just take the quick easy way out. We all know Capcom always likes the quick easy way just look at the megaman games how they rehash things from that time and time again.
Yeah, really was hoping they built up again the whole game from the ground... But no, it does not seem so.
Looks quite dissapointing at this state of developpment.
Just look at Drake's fortune textures to really see how goooooood!!!!!! ps3 textures can be if the game is created only with ps3 in mind from scratch.
ANY PORT FROM XBOX360 IS LAAAAZZZZY AND THAT IS A FACT.
We also always pointed out the same green filter that were found on a majority of PS3's games. From this point of view the PS3 to a problem with its graphics card in dark environments.

If a developer uses more than 196Mb for textures on the 360 than there is nothing they can do to 'optimise' 256+ Mb of textures to fit in the PoS 3's 196Mb of usable graphics memory and keep the same quality. It's something I hope that everyone would understand by now.

If you insist on ignoring simple facts there is absolutely nothing we can do to enlighten you and keep the same conversational quality.
Textures are horrible. Capcom showed that they can pull of great looking textures with this engine in DMC4 for the PS3. If they can't do the same here, then this development team is either stupid or lazy.

Drake has real tight enclosed areas and it does not have as many particle effects as lostplanet.
Dont blame the devs because they have less ram to work with.
