In an article at PlayStaion Blog, Creative Director Andy Tudor from Slightly Mad Studios has shared the first screenshots of the PlayStation 4 version of Project CARS. The developer also assures these screens were taken "simply by pausing the game", no special features or downscaling were used.

If the dev is reading here, I hope there's in game music, similar to the music in Forza 4 , Ridge Racer Unbounded, Split Second, MotorStorm: Apocalypse, and I hope there's an option to adjust the volume for the Sound Effects and Music, thank you so much.

Looks amazing, Can see some jaggies that you dont see with a high end PC but i'd take 60fps with jaggies over 30fps no jaggies every day of the week! Gameplay is king!

Every time I see screenshots of this game they look great. But then when I see gameplay there are just alot of things wrong graphically. So far I think Driveclub is the best looking racer I've seen. It stands up in motion to the still shots.

Driveclub should look far far better than this due to lack of advanced physics and it runs at half the FPS at 30! Also it's an exclusive rather than being built to run on 4 different platforms.

Lighting wise Project cars has more realistic lighting over drive club. DC uses a lot of film grain and darker camera filters which makes it feel more like cinema, compared to Project cars where you feel like you're there instead of behind a camera.

Ditto. Love to check new forza/gt/etc screens and replays but when playing those I always feel dissapointed.

Lmao it is not even close. If this is 60fps with dynamic lighting, weather then they have done amazing job. GT7 will definitely have all that. I cannot imagine how good GT7 will look. This was 7yrs ago and they were miles ahead I expect the same this E3 or in 2015 when they show GT7. Even now it looks so realistic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ll1Jz2tW664

How do we know this won't be 30fps on console? Have they said?? And exclusive or not, the game has some bland looking environments, GT style, and the lighting and shadowing are always going haywire. Now of course, the lighting issues could be fixed before launch, but the tracks are still drab looking. And from what I've heard from people playing it on PC the physics aren't anything to write home about, so it certainly shouldn't be detracting from the game's presentation.

“Our aim is always for the best gameplay experience possible and if that means 1080p/60fps is achievable without compromising ‘awesome stuff happening whilst racing’ then fantastic. So it’s the target yes, but it’s something every developer has to balance nearer to launch and it’ll be no different for ourselves.”

Driveclub is the exclusive not PCars. The graphics for PCars are in a league of their own for a sim.

The physics for PCars are above anything on consoles...Think of it as a much better GTR 2 physics wise. If your used to iRacing then you might not think the physics are as good.

That sounds quite a bit like what evolution had to say about driveclub in regard to framerate. But i would urge people not to make the assumption that this game will definitely be a 60fps title on consoles. I just don't think PCars' visuals, at least in it's current state, are as good in motion as they look in perfectly staged screenshots. Look at any gameplay video and there are just so many visual oddities. Again that's stuff that can certainly be fixed but at the moment I don't understand people praising this as the definitive visual presentation of a racing sim, as to be frank none of the gameplay that they've put out is SUPER impressive apart from the car models. And again, from what I've heard the game is not terribly simmy at all, like not even on the same level as GT or Forza, but that's just what I've heard so take it with a grain of salt I suppose.

I don't know why they feel the need to clarify these are not bullshots, when the game clearly doesn't look anywhere near good enough for that to be needed.

I think both are using some filters and neither realistic but nice gfx for sure. With weather, night racing, 24hrs day/night cycle I doubt it can be 60 fps

and people still go on about graphics (so far only seen PC game play footage and that is of the beta), drawing comparisons to FM5 claiming it to be the best looking (i want some of what their smoking), i hope to god it does not have the music from FM or any of the other arcade racers, it's a driving sim not a party.

i don't quite see how minimal AA and AF among other things can make a game look better, if anything FM5 looks rushed (which it was and should have been delayed but then Microsoft preferred money to quality), with each and every update Pcars looks better and better and for the love of god would all you cry baby's please put down your rattles, there are still at least 5 months of development to go.
