Simply stunning graphics...Some of the best I've seen in a third person shooter. To bad the controls are not on par with the graphics.

Fantastic visuals and as I loved the demo, this is a day one purchase for sure. I just wish the Gears of War kiddies would stop moaning about the controls and play something else instead.

The co-op play is awesome. Maybe i beat the demo around 30-40 times (most played demo ever from me) and will keep playing until release of the full game.
Controls are fine for me, maybe because i don't want run 'n gun bullshit in RE game.
For haterZ - go play Gears of War/ Dead Space.
Screens looks pretty good btw.
Most anticipated game for this year. Absolutely Day 1 purchase for me.

sorry for my bad english

I actually sympathize with the control scheme whiners. I know because I used to be just like them after having played Resident Evil 1...years ago. They will eventually get accustomed to the (admittedly archaic) controls :) This will be my first game purchase for 2009 for sure.

controls... yeah i could used to this i was fond of RE4 after all.
but forcing me to play all the fucking time with some reatarded AI driven bitch.
babysitting her.... just kills all the mood for me.
yeah i know it could be co-op blast but it is killing mood anyway (for me).
and animations... just look at zombie animations. it's just fucking joke.
they didn't do nothing to improve animations since re4.
and graphics is nice but it doesn't really make me blind for what this game really is.
it's just a nicer sister of re4 and i could be fine with it.
but retarded forced ai baby is just too much.

So the desire for comfortable controls is something only "kiddies" want?
Why should we settle for crappy controls because we happen to be 20+? lol m8

Will def buy this though, at least they let you use the right stick to move the camera this time, a step in the right direction.
But i still hate the GoW-style sprinting that forces you to hold A and steer with the left stick, pure nonsense. This isnt a racing game.

I dont know what you ppl mean about "retarded bitch" :P In the demo she was pretty kickass, never needed my help and often gave me ammo she didnt use, healed me and helped me when i was locked in with a zombie.
I was pretty impressed by her AI actually.

Well you can just change them. If you are a Gears gamer, then they will offer those run and gun without being stationary controls. Depends on what fits the gamer. I personally didnt have any problems with controls, I just had to get used to them.

Go play with some buddy via Live/PSN - 100x times better. It's a fully co-op orientated game. Accept this, FFS.

Is it just me or should the first two images have a big red "You Died" over them? lol. Anyways...why even bother releasing more images? All interested people will have played the demo by now anyways...i guess hype machine just keeps on grinding :P

"comfortable controls"? They seem fine to me, I've played through the demo multiple times and I've never had a problem with them. The real problem is people wanting this to be a high speed action game like Gears of War, when in reality it's a slow paced survival horror game where the emphasis is on very careful aiming.

I really suggest you skip this and play an action game instead.

To be honest, I found the controls on the demo to be a bit wonky at first. Try setting V axis to invert and control type to D. I felt after these adjustments the game felt fantastic.
But this is me coming from a Gears of War background.
Loved the demo.

The graphics are so crisp and sharp that the models have a plastic-y feel to them. I don't mind it though, but definitely not the best looking game I've ever seen (that would be Uncharted 2 :) ).

There is no run-and-gun control option. It was just a rumour. The only thing they added to the controls is strafing. No Gears-style controls present in the full game.
At least they're adding strafing. That really bothered me in the demo besides the stop and shoot controls that i'm not use too. Maybe i'll buy this, but it feels slow though. The crosshair is slow, and so is the dude when he runs imo.

Considering we haven't seen any real footage of Uncharted 2 thats a bit of a stretch. And the two trailers don't count, both are cinematic.

Looks incredible. The models almost have no hard edges, and the jaggies are juyst not there at all, and the textures are pretty amazing. I really hope I get a new HDD for my 360 soon so I can effing try this game out.

Kiddies? Does it make you feel like a "man" calling another grown man a "kiddie" because of his opinion?

I'm not going to stoop to your level, or anyone's level on this board undermining people's intelligence just because they didn't like the control scheme of a particular game. So to reiterate, I love the graphics but wish that it had slightly better controls. Not Gears of War controls, to those who seem to assume that's what we want, just a more intuitive control scheme.

No one expected the game to play like Gears of War, no one is asking it to either. In fact, I'm not a big fan of Gears of War. No one is asking the game to be a "run and gun" style either. So please stop with the ignorant comments. You want to worship the very ground that RE5 walks on? Fine, just don't expect everyone else to jump on the bandwagon along with you.

I initially hated the demo. But after playing it like 20 times, i love it. Don't get me wrong, i still think the controls are horrible, but there is a great game hidden beneath that fact.

As for those who complain about the run button. I think i should inform you that you can also run, by simply clicking the left thumbstick down as you move. This allows you to control the camera and run at the same time ala COD4.

For those who think that those who complain about the controls should "go back to gears of war" i say you're missing the point. No one thinks RE5 should play like a fast paced action game. Some of just think that the talented team at capcom have had 5 iterations to come up with a control scheme that is both welcoming and tension inducing. And in that regard, they've dropped the ball. There is a fine lined between tense and frustrating, and at times, i find the demo to simply reside on the frustrating side (the inventory system is balls)

Never the less, we're about to have another great game on our hands...

Actually, her AI code is pretty darn good. I haven't played the final game yet, but Sheva held her own when I played the demo. Obviously, it wasn't as good as an actual human player, but she does the job.

Actually, I find the AI Sheva quite good. She handles herself better with low ammo and is quicker at healing you than probably most non-AI players would be.

Also, the controls are good. I wouldn't want them changed one bit.

You say you want the controls to be better yet you don't say exactly what is wrong. The controls are almost just like Gears except you don't run and gun. In fact they give you multiple control set ups to choose from. You're not very compelling in your complaints about the control scheme.
