PC Xbox 360

Ukrain-based developer Black Wing Foundation presents the very first images of its third person view action game called Salvation, awaited for the PC and Xbox 360 platforms. I hope for them this was taken from a really early version because it lacks details. The release date is set to 2009, so they will probably have the time to polish things up until then...

Thanks the company for double tagged screens

Wouldn't say it's detail it lack, just rater design.

It looks very uninspired, more rater based on HL2 design in many ways.

It's Half Life 2 but in 3rd person view.

The textures, enemy design, and even the HUD is very HL2 (in some of the pics).

if it wasn't 3rd person viewpoint in those pics, i would have said it was HL2.

the source engine can be great at times, but thats mostly because of the art style in its games. Postal III has a sort of cartoonish look to it, same with team fortress 2 which makes them both great looking. episode 2 wasnt a completely new game so no one expected it to look that much different to Half life 2, so it looked great for a sequel. but damn, this game just has no special style to it and looks pretty bad. they got a lot of work to do.

Hmm... color me not impressed.

The lack of detail is startling.
This looks like an Xbox 1 game, and even then.... it doesn't have any real redeeming features.

Looks like they took the Source engine, put it in third person, added a few models and called it day. Not impressed at all.

I reckon this one has got potential, I like the idea of fighting against some kind of religious superpower. Sin City crossed with Half-Life crossed with Independance Day (hopefully without too many shite one-liners) :D

Like any of you whingers could do any better...

The design is really bland. We've all seen it before about one hojillion times and it's just not interesting anymore. Other than that, it does look alot like HL2, most likely because of the textures used...the textures are awfully similar.

Might be ok but the 4:3 PC screens dont promise good for a delicate console game. We dont need poorly running pc-ports.

As far as religious symbols go, couldn't they have come up with something at least a BIT more original than a cross. Seriously, I can imagine Fox news saying this game is anti-christian or something.

Also, the red cross is practically a complete copy of V for Vendetta, except that has two strokes instead of one.

As far as people saying the HUD is the same as HL2, seriously, have you played the game? I can MAYBE see the locations being a bit similar, (as synce says though, that's a weak link), but that's where you can draw the line. And this is coming from someone who was playing HL2 yesterday.
