EA released a bunch of images from the nextgen-version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07. It may not look that good judging by images, but it looks great in-motion. It's nice to see EASports finally concentrating a little bit extra on the animations.
Update: People wondered, and according to EA the images are from both PS3 and X360, see more inside. Added are also XB & PS2 images.

These stills dont look special. The characters and trees just look weird.

It's the textures. They look... wrong. Like, lighting effects and such are missing.

I realise that the grass on teh green is usually very very flat, but shouldn't golf games be the first to actually have... realistic grass? Such as seen in Oblivion, GRAW, or even Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow...

Golf games have already looked really "off" to me... even adding a little bit of fuzz or something to the grass woul make it look a bit nicer.

but alas, this is an EA game...

Definitely. Every next-gen game should.. especially if it's not going to impact preformance such as in a golf game with little to no geometry. Yea I know the terrain and people account for a lot of geometry technically.. but not visually (everything looks.. too open, barren, sparse etc).

Check out the shadows the people are casting in the first image. Looks like they're all about to be teleported onto some alien spacecraft. Just doesn't look right.

Wow the lighting/shadowing is just way off. The detail in the players and foliage is good, but the overall poor lighting makes it look very, very dated. Simpler graphics with better lighting would have gone a far way.

Yeah, this one need some work on the lightning front for sure. But as sead the animation looks very nice. Also there should be much more content compared to last years edition.

this looks worse in the stills than the 2006 version... i can't believe that - must be the capture quality - in motion i'm sure its better, not worse

This game really doesn't look that great. I don't expect much from a golf game but the grass looks very blocky and last gen. The trees for some reason remind me of the old Medal of Honor for the playstation 1.... This game SHOULD look alot better then this...

why grow up when idiots keep buying them each year? konami does the same with PES, it sucks but since people won't stop buying them, they won't stop making them.

Why are the spectators so freakin rigid... Animators at EA, put natural poses. It only involves moving a few nulls ffs...

I read that this was supposed to have dynamic lighting, where the shadows would alter as the clouds moved through the sky (suppoed to have an animated sky as well). I don't see that here though...

I think PS3 version has unbelievable graphics. (unbelievable tiger wood character model :) )
I prefer Fight Night Round 3 anyway.

ps3 version will be identical, this is EA after all, and looking at these screens, they just haven't added the lighting, shadowing or shading yet, don't know why theyd even release screenshots of it looking like this untill theyd added them.

It looks like Tiger Woods has backlit pants. Also, why is his face and arms different tones?
