Eidos releases ten stunning images of Tomb Raider: Underworld. After the terrific "Anniversary" and knowing how Crystal Dynamics want to focus on platforming and exploration with less gunfights, Underworld looks more and more like a wet dream for us Tomb Raider fans. I seriously can't wait.

But it sure as hell looks nice!

Of all the Lara models I have seen, this one a winner, she looks fantastic!

Very much looking forward to this. Anniversary was awesome and Legend aint bad either. I'm not in love with the new character design, but it looks great. I hope combat is toned down a little in this one, and they can skip the cheesy vehicle levels too.

Better but not quite there yet. Not until Lara looks like a virtual Karima. Still, I like that they're focusing less on the action aspect.

First, it's nice to see that Eidos has discovered the Normal map button, second, it doesn't matter how it looks if Lara handles like she always has, like a garbage truck with all the hydraulics cut and third, if this managed to get a nude patch, you could probably actually beat off to it. ;)

Well, I grant you that, but they still had a crappy camera and too many "leap to your death" problems. Still, I'll try to keep positive.

Totally different game mechanics, Drake was more of a shooter than TR, or at least I'm hoping, if they go down that route with the new one I won't be buying it.

Indeed, Uncharted is basicly a shooter with some platforming elements here and there. Not that that's a bad thing perse, but it's not the way a TR game whould be like.

I hope this just sticks to what it should be, a puzzle-solving action platformer.

Legend completely restored my faith in the Tomb Raider series, which went rapidly down hill after just the first game. Like you guys mentioned, all the sequels focused way too much on the action, instead of what it was always about. The puzzles. :)

Can't wait for this, but it's good to see they're taking their time with it. Rushed development was one of the problems with the series in the past.

Eidos is under great pressure to be profitable. Anything coming out of them or their parent SCi should be treated as crap unless proven otherwise.

These (bull)shots are way too good to be true. They've just thrown all the parallax mapping and realtime shadows they could find on there. There's no way this engine can pull that off without dreadful frames. Rare could easily do this with their 2 year old Kameo engine but not Eidos. God save Deus Ex 3.

Looks pretty good.
I'm with the majority here, I'd like Tomb Raider to go back to basics with more focus of the platforming and puzzles rather than the gun fights. Looking forward to this. Let's hope they don't rush it out.
