PS2 game, no way. IQ is surprisingly smooth for such an old 360 game.
Oh and that gameplay!

Also Virtua Fighter 5 on Arcade hardware had a custom PC like set up with an Nvidia GeForce 6800 doing the graphics rendering, VF5 Final Showdown arcade version is actually running on something like a Geforce 8800 or G80 GPU derivative with Shader Model 4 and higher resolution support.
As far as these screen shots, they are kind of crappy but its still VF5 FS so thats a good thing. hopefully it sells enough copies so that SEGA can justify putting it on a Disc so those of us who cannot buy DLC will buy that copy instead.
And remember, VF5 on both PS3 and XBox 360 did not really sell all that great outside of Japan so given the current higher install base for both consoles chances are it will sell better but as for graphical improvements, so far the game looks decent, they seem to be targetting things like lag for online play to get that crowd, however if you are really hard core about fighting games you know a home tournament or just going to an arcade (if you are lucky to have a machine and people that can play) just cannot be beat.
And also if this game sells poorly again then we are screwed out of luck from getting more improvements or even a next gen version in the future.
spacemanjupiter !!! Congratulations. ^^
Seriously, this game is STILL looking gorgeous, no internet-video or screenshot will EVER do this game any justice. Just play it to see for yourself dammit.
