A new batch of images of Ninja Gaiden 2 has hit the net, three of them to be exact. Team Ninja are still not announcing any release date, but they recently confirmed that the game is planned to hit the stores this year.
Update: Gameplay video added. Sorry for the awful encoding, we'll update as soon as we find a better file.

Badass!
I can't wait to play this game as much as I can't wait to play DMC4.

E-VERY-ONE~~
1. The graphics are a huge letdown! The environments are bland, empty and not very interesting. This is not Xbox 1 anymore. You've got to come up with something better than that TN!
2. The blood/gore is excessive and plain ridiculous! Gore is desireable, but not to the point where it becomes almost comical.
3. The stupid dash move must go, bring back the roll! Seriously!
4. Animations are very messy, not much improvement there either. You can see in some of the videos where Ryu's blocking attacks as well, he slides back with every hit as if he's on ice-skates or something. Not very impressive to say the least.
Gameplay looks tight as always though, and I hope the puzzle-solving/RPG elements are still present.
It looks much better than something like DMC4 gameplay wise, but it just isn't the leap NG on Xbox was for gaming. Not even by a long shot.
everything so clean, and then blood all over the place. rolleyes...

On IGN they said the Itagaki read forums and comments of fans avidly and that Team Ninja is going to adress the concerns and thoughts. So we shall see! Either way this game is going to own.
My only complaint is that the environments we've seen so far are bland as all hell. I mean, if the first level in Chaos Theory can look as good as it did, and if the environments in Kameo (especially that first castle level...so awesome looking!) can look that killer, then I don't see why they can't add a little something to spruce it up. It wouldn't be sacrificing the art style either, as "flatness" isn't what they want to achieve.
Other than that, I'm freakin' stoked!
PS: Those boot claw things look ridiculous.

So let me get this straight your saying this has no graphical upgrade? And that its not taking advantage of the 360's hardware. Lol.
I see plenty of stuff in pic 2. The environment is full of things to look at. The others just look like Ninja training rooms which aren't really supposed to have anything on the floor, though they could add something on the walls I suppose.
I just see so much about the graphics that I like, that I can't just sit here and nitpick about stupid shit like the excessive blood and no objects littering the floor.
but anyway, looks like an improvemnt from last time, clearly their really working on poilishing because everything looks very sharp and ryu's model looks more detailed.

And yes, im saying that It doesnt look much better from Sigma. I'm not stating that it looks bad, but I would have expected a bigger upgrade. Ninja Gaiden was one if not the best looking games last generation. So it's a little disappointing that it doesn't look much better than Sigma which was released a year ago. Nonetheless this game is amazing.
Plus, isn't he a ninja? isn't he supposed to not leave any trace of his killings? guess he broke that code along time ago.. lol
