This truly is the gen of great sequels, it has been proven again and again.

Looks like Infamous 2 expands, refines and finetunes on the gameplay foundations placed by the first game, and brings it home beautifully. And this is coming from a person who hasn't even played the first one. Great work!

Compared to the first city level @ night this just seems in a whole new way below graphically, but runs way WAY better (talking about the true gamescom in-game gameplay, and not the fake prerendered video of in-game gameplay they presented @ E3 so they could show it at a steady framerate).

Kinda off how people start acting agitated and running around like ants and clipping trough cars, but don't get the f*ck way, just need to run around and all will be well in middle of a fight? hilarously funny. But like Pez says, yhea: gameplay seems more refined and fine tuned.

As a huge lightning/electric power fan this game definitely looks more appealing for me than the first one (not saying the first one was bad, but it didnt make me buy it), so I am definitely going to buy this one.

Too bad they went with the stupid bald head design again, if only they could change the head back to the black hair design it would be great.

The E3 footage consisted of cutscenes though, not gameplay. Unless you mean this http://www.gamersyde.com/news_infamous_2_gameplay_... .. which was later shown off as a playable demo looking exactly the same.

The framerate was spot on there, but i gotta say theres a few framerate dips in this new demo...i hope they get smoothed out before release

I really like it,all of this game but that dude is clearly a Sith rip off or a Starkiller one, lightning powers = Check!Force power to levitate things = Check! A kind of weapon that resembles a Lightsaber = Check!

Would be day one if I had a PS3 of course!!

Raptor...characters with lightning has been created very long before Starkiller, but in Star Wars it was there from the beginning of what the Sith could do compared to the Jedi, and maybe some animes.

But between Cole and Starkiller, Cole is much better interms of how he uses lightning.

But hey, I love characters that uses lightning all out crazy, the more the better :D
Even in Naruto (i dont watch or read it), Kakashi and Sasuke uses them exclusively, badass stuff!

Hotkirby...dreaming of a longhaired headbanging Cole?

He never had one, and I wouldnt want that type of hair either LOL.

He had typical short guys hair, black, thats the one I want.

That looks pretty damn awesome actually. Nice visuals, great environmental-design.

Animations are still shit though, they really should hire an experienced and knowledgeable team for that...

animations look great to me, they where a little weird in the first one (that odd jog after running, something that i've found is exactly the same in red dead redemption), but they mo-capped them this time around and they look so much better for it, yet stil have the character of hand animation.

coles character model is pretty insane for an open-world game too. his bald head is smooth as hell...lol

*YAWN*

since when has NPC civilian AI been anything more then hord behavior? civies on the street of GTA, red-dead, spiderman, crackdown, they all act like morons. but they're only there as environmental decoration. they have no purpose other then the make the world feel more real, they're no more important then a trash can or rubbish bag laying in the steet. both do exactly the same thing, add believablility to what would otherwise be a very static, lifeless environement. there is no reason whatsoever for a civy AI to be able to take cover (which they do in infamous anyway) and flank characters, they dont NEED the same AI that the enemy's possess, they're there to get in the way and make things look alive, nothing more.

once again java, you try way too hard. it's getting pathetic.

I completed about 40% of the first game, and eventually I didn't have the motivation to play through to the end for various reasons. I think the unstable frame rate was actually giving me headaches. Also, it became so repetitive which is a feature of pretty much every dedicated sandbox game I've played. On the bright side, this game does look like a step up from the first. Although I'm still not convinced I'll buy it this time around judging from what is shown so far.

Infamous 2 looks amazing but I hate that they changed Cole back, it doesn't gel anymore from voice acting to even his animations. I think developers should never sway from the product they want to deliver because only they can see the bigger picture. Listening to others with limited relevant knowledge can cause incoherency and if acted upon often weakens the product as in the case here and **COUGH** RESISTANCE 2 **COUGH**.
