GSY Video PS5 Xbox Series X PC

If you haven't heard of INDUSTRIA, you haven't been paying attention on Gamersyde as we covered the PC version back in November. Bleakmill's game was particularly demanding even on a high-end rig so it is quite a surprise to see it ship so soon on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It may explain why framerate is limited to 30 fps, though it's a bit disappointing as we've gotten used to playing this genre at 60 on consoles too. That said, it's not the only caveat we found. Controls are too clunky to our taste for example and moving the main character around never feels completely right. It's like she can only move in four directions, which makes climbing stairs rather awkward for example. Like on PC, melee combat isn't precise enough and you sometimes get hit and feel it's not really fair. Since there is no dodge button, it's not especially fun either. Gunplay is ok but ammo seems scarce so you'll probably have to rely on your pickaxe regularly. Also, the lack of precision when you have to pile up crates and then climb onto them to reach a higher up location can be somehow frustrating. The game's strong suit really is its mysterious atmosphere and its world and we also like the rather intriguing plot. Feedback on Steam has been mostly positive so it's not a bad game at all, but you have to be aware of the fact that it does not play as well as it should and that it offers a very short experience (less than three hours). Last but not least, keep in mind that the game was developed by a very small team and that it's only €/$20.
