Namco Bandai shares these new screenshots of Inversion that show the game's multiplayer that will offer 3 game types: Team Deathmantch, King of Gravity and Gravity Slaughter. The gravity-shifting shooter will be out in March.

I'm only guessing at this point what it plays like from the footage and while i can hardly blast a company trying to put a spin on things, it's a move i don't think works any more now that we've seen so many spins already in this genre

To make these sort of things work the gimmick needs to be so deeply imbedded into the very core of the gameplay that it stops being a gimmick entirely. Red faction guerrilla, while a commercial flop, did this really well. The destruction didnt feel like an afterthought to the shooting. It felt integral to the gameplay. This game lacks that imo. It looks like a shooter with a gravity gimmick. Which is probably what it is.
