Trailer PC Xbox 360 PS3

Activision has just announced a new original adventure of the legendary secret agent, entitled James Bond 007: Blood Stone. And to say the least, its casting is quite impressive as Bizarre Creations are in charge of the development, Bruce Feirsteina is the scenarist and Joss Stone is both the James Bond Girl and the singer of the main theme. The game will combine third person action sequences with driving ones and is planned for a holiday season release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Please find the press release and the first images after the click.
Update: Added the rather trailer.

Press Release:

London, UK – 16th July, 2010 – Award winning artist Joss Stone is set to debut as the newest Bond girl in Activision Publishing, Inc.’s (Nasdaq: ATVI) James Bond 007: Blood Stone, an original Bond experience from legendary screenwriter Bruce Feirstein. In addition to stepping into a leading role, Grammy and BRIT Award winner Joss Stone will create original music for the game, luring players into an explosive third-person action adventure where they will unravel an international conspiracy across exotic locales. Players will experience full-throttle, behind-the-wheel action on land and sea while using the most high tech gadgetry known to James Bond 007, the world’s most skilled secret agent.

“James Bond 007: Blood Stone captures the cinematic intensity of a Bond film by immersing players in an intriguing conspiracy that will require them to think and act like James Bond,” said David Pokress, Head of Marketing for Licensed Properties, Activision Publishing. “In addition, the game will feature a diverse array of multi-player modes and debut strategic objective-based gameplay that will allow Xbox 360, PS3TM and PC players to battle as teams of spies and mercenaries through authentic Bond locales.”

James Bond 007: Blood Stone features the likeness and voice talent of Daniel Craig, Joss Stone and Judi Dench and features an epic, original story developed by legendary screenwriter Bruce Feirstein. Players can engage in cover-based firefights, lethal hand-to-hand combat and speed their way through explosive adrenaline-fuelled driving sequences as they embark on a global chase leading to action on land and sea through Athens, Istanbul, Monaco and Bangkok. Gamers can also feel what it is like to be a 00 agent, as they take the battle online in several robust 16-person multi-player modes that require skill, teamwork and strategy as players compete in matches that will have spies battling mercenaries.

Joss Stone provides an original musical track to the game, titled “I’ll Take it All” written and performed by her and Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics. The song will be featured exclusively in James Bond 007: Blood Stone.

The James Bond 007: Blood Stone video game is being developed by critically acclaimed developer Bizarre Creations for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, and Windows PC under license from EON Productions Ltd and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (MGM). Additionally, an original Nintendo DSTM game is being developed from the ground up by n-Space. For more information about the game, visit www.007.com.

This will probably be a mediocre at best.

It's a shame because bond has lots of potential as a game, but this just looks like bland senseless action.

@droezelke, indeed true. Stupid MGM. Although I thought CR was significantly better than QoS.

As for the game, could be interesting. The lighting and texturing seem a little bland though, kinda "video-gamey." Hopefully it's just cause it's early.

Casino Royale is better than almost every Bond movie IMO.

This is being made by the same people that did Project Gotham and The Club? Surprise the characters models look so plain but the special effects are so awesome

Is it true the next Bond film got canned?
It's currently on hold because of MGM's financial difficulties.

So that's why Splinter cell Conviction sold like mad. You need copies on every developer to rip it off completely.

Actually - I can dig this. If it's anything like Everything or Nothing, I'll give it a go.

Daniel Craig does need a bit more work though...

OMG the combat looks exact SC: Conviction rip-off. But I guess that's cool for a Bond game.

The vehicle sections look tight, though, showing what Bizarre are great at. Cutscenes look budget-rate, though.

Absolutely disappointed, and uninterested. It will be a simple shooting game rather then the spy game it should be.

Bond hasn't been canned, it's just on hold while the MGM situation is being worked out. The Hobbit is on hold for the same reason. (MGM has gone bankrupt, in case you didn't know.) Hopefully they'll get rid of Daniel Craig and whoever wrote the awful Quantum Of Solace. Bring back Pierce Brosnan! I'm guessing Sony might buy Bond since that's the supposed to be one of the main reasons they bought MGM in the first place. (As well as giving them an extra studio to support Blu-Ray prior to the format war.) Hopefully this game will be good but the screenshots look awful! The trailer looks a bit better though.

This looks good to me. I loved Quantum Of Solace. Quantum Of Solace was one of those rare games that you could beat in a afternoon and have a blast doing it. Or at least I did lol.

Sure, This will most likely be a rental, but it will prolly be one of my favorite rented games this gen if QOS is anything to go by.

The screens look a bit ugly, but the game in motion don´t look bad at all. The live demo has some good sections like the boat chase, with nice water effects. Shooting secctions reminds me Splinter Cell Conviction.

The Claw on instant kills, the red-meter when you're shot is EXACTLY the same. In a way, for a Daniel Craign Bournesque Bond, it feels kinda right.

I thought Quantum of Solace was unnecessarily complicated and generally weak, but Casino Royale was outstanding. And Daniel Craig is a much better Bond than Pierce Brosnan; he actually brings an edge and sense of seriousness to the role, which is what Bond should represent.

I don't know what people are complaining about. It's James Bond. He shoots, he beats people up, blows sh!t up and is chasing dudes on foot, with cars, boat, choppers, ballons and probably rikshas, too.
It has everything a Bond movie has, even a cheesy story with terrorist. What did you expect?
That the game excels the movie? *Like the 1 in a million chance Riddick had?* Move along people... there's nothing to discuss here..
