Turn10 have updated the carlist for Forza Motorsport 2 once again, as to be seen on their car list webpage. This time they're presenting the Japanese production cars in the game, and they have of course released a bunch of images of them.
Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (5 Weeks ago)
Loakum By FAR, the upcoming Game of Thrones King’s Road was the Game of the Show! It plays like God of War Ragnarok! :) (7 Weeks ago)
Loakum @Driftwood Awesome! I’m loving it! It does show a much crisper picture and the frame rate looks good! I was playing Stella Blade and Dragonball Soarkling Blast! :) (> 3 Months ago)

Looks like Turn 10 has nothing on the GT guys in terms of polygons, although that's the last thing I'm interested in right now. This game has some amazing customization and online (check out gametrailers.com)
anyway, my team of Civics will own all. That's right bitches, Civics. VTEC power in your ass
also, Fear the Civics. That is all

more like.
You can see the shadowing detail is much more realistic for a start.
FM is far more stylised. The reflections are *way* stronger for example (personally I think they are too strong).
Vehicles in GT are laser scanned, so they will have loads of detail in the original model. I'd expect when the rest of the game starts demanding more resources (eg tracks, more cars, etc) you will see the car detail reduced. Or maybe not. They have enough time to work on it.
I don't know if FM cars are hand modelled or not.
However FM has considerable demands for other resources such as damage geometry and of course the custom skinning (which will be quite significant, certainly several MB per car once generated)

By the way, that shot of Gran Turismo is CGI anyway, not in-game
As for Forza2 shots, looking amazing but as with all bullshots, we wont get to enjoy supersampling like that on our screens unfortunately. Then again at 60fps the jaggies move so fast they wont matter much.
