The Xbox 360 sales in Japan are disapointing, to say the least, but Microsoft keeps pushing the system there, with this TV advertising for example. Nothing new to see unfortunately.

Because there are no good RPG's and adventure games available (yet), gernes that are very important in Japan.. And there's like 1000+ titles available for the PS2 overthere, more then Xbox and GC combined, titles we haven't even heard of.. No wonder they just want the PS3 and nothing else, even if the thing turns out way overhyped and not as strong as promised (as usual)..
In the West (USA + Europe) we have a completly different taste of games etc, the Xbox is much better suited for that.. I find everything I want on the Xbox and Xbox 360 (I'm not into RPG's etc), but the average Japanese gamer just doesn't.. I would be surprised if the Xbox 360 sales grinded to a complete hold when the PS3 gets released overthere.. But aslong as MS is doing well in the West, it's no big deal I guess.. Japan might be an important gamedeveloper nation, but in size it's still by far the smallest of the big 3 markets..
P.s. the Xbox 360 is designed in white because white is totally hot in Japan, but even that obviously didn't help a lot..
I mean - face it. Famitsu gave Nintendogs 40/40 Points (is this really a videogame?)
But Kameo just got 28/40. Thats a shame, cause Kameo was such an beautyful and rich experience. However, like i said, the Japanese are hard to understand.
They want to buy PS3 and Revolution so badly, just why?
Not one single Game for Rev has been shown yet, no screenshots, nothing.
And the X360, an powerful, amazing system with great games, even for japanese players, wich is already available, has no sucess in Japan.
I think this is STRANGE in every sense of the word.
Why?
You seem to have something to say, but it's so hard to make it out that it doesn't matter.
MIcrosoft wont stop pushing to get their 360 some japanese developer support and once the success starts picking up when games like lost planet, blue dragon, ninety nine nights, lost odyssey, and cry on get released the 360 will be be seen in a whole new light in japan. The lackluster performance of the xbox and the early bad start for the 360 will be forgotten as far as I know this console launch is the LAST we'll be seeing any microsoft console have a slow start in the japanese market. Things will be even between sony and microsoft come next console launch, but I strongly believe microsoft will secure an almost even market share with the ps3 in japan this time around.
THey have a lower attention span than even us.
