Simply one of the best games from the last generation. A masterpiece, and made at a time when SEGA was more creative than pretty much any other dev in history.

How times change.

Really. I miss the old school SEGA. Gaming has just simply never been the same, or as inspirational ever since that iteration of SEGA ceased to exist.

*heavy, heavy sigh*

I don't hold sega in such high regard tbh, but i do love the JSR games. Think i'm going to wait for the JSRF release tho if it happens, since i prefared the more streamlined gameplay...plus it looked nicer. If they give the vita version away with the PS3 version, i may buy it tho...

The only sega system i loved with the megadrive. DC didn't do much for me tbh. Aside from jet set radio and shenmue. And even on the megadrive it wasn't the sega IP's i loved the most, it was stuff like earthworm jim, flashback etc.

Same. There was more to the tagging in the first, you litterally had to stop and do some quick time event analogue stick thing, but i preferred the visuals and streamlined speed of the second.

Think i read somewhere that this re-release wouldnt have all of the original tracks due to some licensing issue.

Yeah. I hear they've got some of them tho since they're included in the trailers? Same situation as tony hawks and silent hills original voice actors. They obviously don't want to put too much money into these HD versions. I guess it would defeat the purpose of being an easy cash-in?

This is the DC game.
If it sells well, maybe they'll do Jet Set Radio Future (Xbox), who knows...

Jet Set and Shenmue are good picks, but there really are many more that are good Sega games. Many of the games I mention next are not total Sega exclusives (developed and published by Sega and only for Sega consoles), but many are console exclusives or were published first for Sega consoles.

Sega Megadrive: Buck Rogers: Countdown to Doomsday, Castle of Illusion, Chakan, Corporation, DecapAttack, Ecco the Dolphin, Golden Axe II, Gynoug, Landstalker, Phantasy Star II, QuackShot, Rings of Power, Sonic the Hedgehog(s), ToeJam & Earl, World of Illusion

Sega Saturn: Burning Rangers, Dark Savior, Enemy Zero, Mystaria: The Realms of Lore, NiGHTS, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Saturn Bomberman, Sega Rally, Shining Force 3 (all episodes), Shining the Holy Ark, Sonic R, Virtua Fighter

Sega Dreamcast: Blue Stinger, Crazy Taxi, Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future, F355 Challenge, Fur Fighters, Headhunter, Jet Set Radio, Metropolis Street Racer, Nomad Soul, Resident Evil: Code Veronica, Sega Rally 2, Shenmue 1&2, Skies of Arcadia, Sonic Adventure, Soul Calibur, Speed Devils, Tokyo Highway Challenge 2, Toy Commander.

This was better than Future.
THIS is a classic and as far as nostalgia goes, it was one of the best games I've played

Old news. :))

"We not only got the full Japanese soundtrack, not just the full European soundtrack, or even just the full North American soundtrack – no no – we got the worldwide soundtrack!"

Same here but the 32x was the nail in the cofffin for Sega to me. Alot of stuff for Dreamcast is overated. RE Code Veronica? Have you played that recently? Even the run animation is terrible in that and why is Clare all strangely tall and skinny in it? Doesn't even compare to RE2. Soul Calibur in my opinion is the 2nd worse in the serious, the worse being Soul Calibur 2. I remember playing it on Dreamcast not long ago too, no collectible weapons? Soul Blade on PS1 is still the best in the series. And then games like Headhunter looked dated at release. I think Sonic and Knuckles is the last SEGA game I enjoyed.
All those games you mention Janman. They aren't really classics. Most of them don't hold up today or even less then a year after release. Toy Commander, really?

Wow. Way to squash the games. I thought I had a solid case. I must just then think that they are good games. All those that I mentioned. You have actually played all of them and have not liked them?

I have not played Code Veronica recently, but I don't have a clue what is so bad about it. Even the run animation..., tall and skinny character. Didn't notice those and how is gameplay affected with those?

Soul Calibur and no collectible weapons. I didn't know that it needed those.

Headhunter is a great game. I think it also looks great. Although I again emphasize the game itself, not how it looks.

I really do like Toy Commander. What is there not to like? Many vehicles. Loads of varied missions. Beautiful surroundings.

Most people consider Code Veronica the best Resident Evil ever made to this day.

Also as soon as you started talking down on Soul Calibur I knew you were mentally questionable.

You also forgot about Samba De Amigo which was ahead of it's time, Space Channel 5, Phantasy Star, Ready 2 Rumble, Seaman (ahead of it's time), Grandia II, Crazy Taxi, Powerstone 1&2, MDK2, Outtrigger, Typing of the Dead, Virtua Tennis, NFL2K5, all the Sega Sports games for that matter at that time.
