As a fan of norse myth and stuff, its a shame we keep seeing these sort of games (other one being Banner Saga) yet no AAA action adventure game like NG or GoW :(

Though I appreciate that they used old norse language in the game when they speak but with english subtitle.

These sort of games... the Banner Saga was awsome! Didn't try this, though. Looks certainly good!

With the cost of game development on the rise I doubt we'd see many triple A action adventure games. Ninja Gaiden seems to be dead as Koei that now controls Tecmo are used to releasing rehashed cheap hack and slash games like the Dynasty series and the new team ninja head showed us his vision of NG in NG 3. Sony seems to be pulling most of their development funds into VR hence the long wait for a new GOW game. On a side note there is rumor of Beyond good and evil 2 being exclusively developed for the NX.
Personally I'd love to see Itagaki given another chance and partner with a big publisher like MS for a triple A action adventure game. Another person I'd like to see partner for a triple A game would be Yu Suzuki. I enjoyed the Shenmue games but I just don't think the funding is there to make the third what it needs to be.

i think TN and Platinum are the only ones going for the genre right now and NG isnt dead just took the wrong turn lol
Koei publish these Warriors games because there is a big fanbase for it especially in Japan though they have no control over TN's making of NG series.

NG3 RE was improvement in combat and mechanics and IMO better than what was in NG2 just bad levels and enemies and lag in controls. But who knows how NG4 will turn out tbh.

Also after Itagaki's Devil's Turd (third) he has completely lost the awesomeness he had making NG so i dont have faith in him.

I think the best developer for a norse myth action adventure game is still Santa Monica by GoW devs since it needs to be on huge scale level and all that, but hopefully combat is much improved.
