The Dead Men are back, in Shanghai this time which will suffer from the trials of the dirty pair. Finally we can see that "documentary" look of the game that the developers announced. Kane & Lynch: Dog Days will be out on August 24 in North America and three days later in Europe.

I ADORE the style of this game. The video game world needs more creative style in shooters. I really really hope this is good.

Wow...I think I was maybe watching a completely different trailer than everyone else. I really don't see the draw to this at all.

I agree.
In fact making it look like some amateur cameraman is following them with a camcorder is too subjective, as if there is a 3rd person there.
Not only that but I'm not entirely sure where the gameplay was.

Because of the first, I'm skeptical about this one. I think it would be wise on their part to release some actual gameplay walk thru's or mode break down videos just to let those who are on the fence get some reassurance.

looks really good. not visually of course, but i love the look of it. with the pixilated nudity and general grimyness of the world. and man, you gotta love the sound of that automatic pistol lynch shoots. sounds beefy as hell.

Only played the demo of the first one don't remember much about it, maybe I should give it another chance as I can't recall why I decided it was crap, maybe its all the cheesy forced machismo and trying much too hard to be "badass" or maybe it played like shit.

Hmmm, must go and DL the demo and refresh memory...

Tired the demo for the first and it was terrible in terms of gameplay, really awkward and amateurish. If the sequel completely revamps the pissweak cover and aiming system I may give it a look though.

Does not look like they have improved much from this first trailer but you never know, the addition of a shakey cam effect certainly does not equal any kind of enhancement in my book.

I like the style, and to me that's more important than the technical aspects like super high res textures, etc. It feels fresh compared to other games, to me.

It's the same with music and movies... not everybody likes everything, but to my sensibilities, I like the feel of this one. It's raw and gritty. A lot of games TRY to be gritty, but they just aren't. We'll have to see how the game itself turns out.

Yea, I just couldn't get into the first one because it just played really badly. But you certainly can't tell if they've this by the trailer alone. The devs have already been quote vocal on "fixing" the game.
