Kane & Lynch are ahead of time

IO Interactive has informed us that Kane & Lynch: Dog Days has gone gold and that it will hit the stores one week earlier than planned: on August 17th in North America and on August 20th in Europe. As a bonus, here is a new multiplayer trailer.

COPENHAGEN (July 13, 2010) — IO Interactive, a part of Square Enix® Europe, is pleased to confirm that Kane & Lynch 2: Dog DaysTM has gone gold and will now release one week earlier than previously scheduled on August 17, 2010 in North America and August 20 throughout Europe and other PAL territories*, on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PC.

“The team has worked hard to deliver a game that’s different from the current trend of third-person shooters and we’re so pleased to be able to share it with the world ahead of schedule,” said Niels Jørgensen, general manager of IO Interactive. “With development now complete, why keep people waiting any longer? We want to let gamers experience the game we’ve created and get them online betraying their friends in Fragile Alliance, so we have decided to bring the release date forward by one week.”

Anyhow, good news for me, I'm waiting for the game.

I wish the game well, I love the direction they took w/ this game and it's whole gritty style is done well, better than most games of a similar theme.

Mafia 2 is the only open world game I'll play this year. Sorry, I don't want to get RDR just because of the similar gameplay with GTA 4.

Was really impressed with the demo! I really didn't think this would be that different to the first but i have to say they have done a really good job! Well done IO for taking their mistakes and really doing a great job. Good luck guys :D

I can honestly say that I was highly impressed with the demo. I'm gonna buy it on day one. I always thought of the first game as one of those games that fell just short of being great.
It had too many nagging issues to be enjoyable IMO.

BUT, After playing the demo I can say that ALL of the issues are now gone. It doesn't even feel like the same game at all. Honestly, I can't think of a sequel that has made more of an improvement than Kane & Lynch.

In the same generation or sequal in general?
If in general then I will mention Killzone 1 to Killzone 2...probably add Killzone 3 (probably, havent seen much obviously).

But from the videos I seen, the recoil is quite crazy and it takes too much bullets to kill someone.
I did try the first game, aiming was bad as well as the over being clunky.

But K&L2 demo is coming to PSN Plus+ on 20th and 27th (i think) as a public demo, I will definitely download it and try it. I really like the look of the "trick" they have used for the visuals, some of the lighting flares reminds me of Killzone 2, I love them :)
