Trailer PC Xbox 360 PS3

After a first game that was not praised by the press in general though it was definitely not all bad, Eidos' two tough guys are officially back in a sequel. Kane & Lynch: Dog Days will be released in 2010 and, provided the developers manage to improve the gameplay and the longevity of the game without forgetting to add an online coop mode this time, it might come out as a nice surprise in the end.

I can't believe they even bothered with a sequel. How can games like this get a sequel, yet other way more successfull IP's get only one release ?

The first game wasn't nearly as bad as most people seem to think, and most of them haven't even played it.

Stop being such a drama queen. It was one website that, apparently, didn't like the reviewers score and fired him. It was certainly nothing to do with the devs...

I don't know why you'd even give a toss about all the game media politics.

Well, for having finished the game, I can tell that there are much worse games out there that get a sequel and sell. There are clear issues but the game is certainly not a bad game. But then again, I have played the game myself.

I finished the game in coop mode with my brother in law and it was a good laugh. The aiming system was really frustrating at times and the weapons were incredibly inaccurate so I wish that they would allow a first person iron sight/scope view in the sequel.

The first was one of my favorite games on the 360. I imagine that those who knock it have never tried it. The most movie-like game, I feel, that was ever made. I cannot wait for the sequel!

i really liked the first game, it had it's fare share of issues, but it was one of the most mature games i think i've ever played. weirdly i really liked the characters too, reviews said they where completely unlikable, since they'd both done terrible things, but i liked how grounded and gritty they where. lynch in particular.

hopefully the sequel will be just as cinematic, but without the issues the first game had (both technical and gameplay wise)

I did play the first K&L and I really tried to like it but it just didn't happen. Maybe this could improve on it and be a great game, but what annoys me is there being a sequel to a (at best) middling Io Interactive game when Freedom Fighters still hasn't seen a sequel.

I sent an e-mail to Eidos and they told me they know there is a great demand for a FF2 - so when's that going to happen?

K&L:DM was awsome, I absolutely loved it, namely the story and the characters, Kane and Lynch and two of my favourite game characters due to all the **** that happens to them is generally pretty shocking makes me kinda care for these "thugs." Both endings of the 1st just made me feel so dam sorry for kane. Gameplay could do with some improving but overall I quite enjoyed it apart from the car chase thing at the end which I detested, the rest though I thoroughly enjoyed. I'm so glad to hear about a sequel.

So, they couldn't figure out how to get Hitman coop to work, is that the reason Kane/Lynch exist?

I really loved the first game, it was very mature crime thriller much like Max Payne. And IMO the best buddy couple in gaming history. Lynch is just a powerhouse of crazy. Excellent story, IMO, and pacing like a blockbuster movie. It's like playing the Heat/Collateral movie.

It had its few flaws about the shooting mechanics, even if they were fine for me.

eeerm who said it was the devs? And it wasnt simply due to gamespot not "likeing" the review.. it was to do with the review compromising the advertising deal that the PUBLISHERS has with the site.

I dont actually give a toss... it was just a "tongue in cheek" comment that obviously offended your sensitive soul in some way.

Besides which, that kind of underhand practice that big publishers seem to do more and more these days, lead to probably the best gaming site on the net - Giantbomb.

Nobody said it had anything to do with the devs. The publisher however....

Seriously though, stop overreacting to somebody taking a small, obvious jab at Eidos.

Like some of the people earlier said, the aiming system in the first one was really quite frustrating. While playing it, I didn't quite feel control over where I was shooting precisely, it was more of an area than a precise spot. Obviously you can't quite aim where you want in 3rd person shooters but I would have enjoyed a little more control for that matter.

Still, this sequel could come as quite a surprise. Wait and see I guess then ...

It did around 2 million so thats more than good enough for a sequel. I enjoyed the first, it had its fault but i still found it fun.
