Xbox 360

And then I mean kick, as in soccer. Cause this looks and sounds awesome. Graphically, it may fail to impress (but it's still better than before) - but they got it going on. They are serious. The concept with third-person-soccer is a couple years old, but it's still much more revolutionary that anyone in the football genre has pulled of in the last 5 years. This could be exactly what we need - to get EA to understand that graphics isn't the only thing we want, and to get Konami to understand that graphics is ONE of the things we want. Love Football would be a third person Sensible Soccer, I would say - and that means, it could later on in the series become a classic. Oh, and, don't forget - all the old videos are played with novice difficulty, so that should explain some of the easy goals in the videos.

I didn't know that you played this game as a single player in the team. Seems pretty fun. While the graphics might not be the best they work. What they should definitively work on are the animations.

Hey, it's not THAT bad. I mean, we shouldn't expect an AAA title as Namcos first next-gen footy game, but at least they are TRYING to do something new. Frame City Killer may not look that promising, but a Japanese crew using Unreal Engine is quite cool. There are not that many Japanese free-roaming games out there.

johnjohnson:
Yeah, absolutely - they have some stuff to work on. But it looks quite promising, and an eventual Love Football 2 could be really nice, when they've learned of their misstakes. And the graphics has evolved quite much during the last couple of months.

Are they trying to make it look bad even in videos? Showing the player running straight through defensive lines and scoring terrible goals is hardly encouraging. It doesn't seem to play a decent game of football at all.

Imagine playing this game online with, and against 21 other gamers(or maybe 19 since being a goalie in this game is probably very boring).
That could be pretty cool!

Sensible soccer's simplicity was it's master stroke.
To also have a view of most of the field allowed for a tactical game.
This seems a bit 'boxed in', IMO.

Simply awesome animation, especially considering the close camera. The last goal of the second video in perticular, the fluidity of the animation is superb. Nothing ever 'pops' and players don't slide like so many other games. The ball always connects perfectly with the players feet.
I couldn't help but feel excited and go 'wow' at some of the more impressive goals in these videos. All simply because of the 3rd person camera.
