One thing is for damn sure, the story trailer did it more justice than the screens.

When a game looks like grey and brown, people hate it and say they want colors. Now that a series for so long had that and have colors now they hate it and want the old look back...sigh.

I for one am glad the game has damn good colors now and great artstyle to go along with it while keeping the Helghast iconic looks attached.

Screens looks ugly... Killzone Downgrade fall? Like someone said, Story trailer look way better than those screens. The only thing I blamed on that trailer was the rain effect, so bad.

I wouldn't judge the game on the screenshots though, I can remember some very ugly Ryse screenshots, but the trailer at E3 was awesome and the recent Vidocs and story trailer too. I would be shocked if the story trailer of Killzone was doctored, and i'm pretty sure it ain't. Just wish the gameplay itself would look more interesting, for some reason i don't find it all that special at all.

No way, Killzones original dark atmosphere was what put me off the series (along with that wanker)
The new colours and lighting pull me in the same way Halo 1 did.

as for these imgs, whats wrong with them? are they compressed? they do not look right.

totally agree with you, my friend.

I am not taking anything away from GG on this one, which still looks technically impressive and I will pick up on day 1 most likely, but in my eyes something is missing here for a KZ tittle running on such hardware spec. Hell, KZ2 was running on 8 years old hardware with 256mb of ram.

You and other fellow gamers are right, it sure wasn't the best FPS in terms of smoothness in gameplay, but it still was one hell of a game. Its playability didn't stop me from enjoying it a lot, and that single player campaign was one of a kind to me.

Have a nice gamer day, my friend

I can see why you say that, I am far from impressed with these shots too. But watch the latest story trailer, check those draw distances and lighting effects.

Launch game with a story trailer that shows the visual quality at a much higher level. These pics don't do it justice if that story trailer wasn't cooked.

I thought Killzone 2 looked awesome for sure, but not enough to constantly keep it there you know. I prefer colors than that, though I am sure we will see something similiar in the side of Helghast in this game as well.

This is looking very amazing! I pre ordered Killzone Shadow Fall just because there is a lack of day 1 next gen titles, so I did it just to have another game to play. Boy was I wrong! This game is proving to be a standout next gen title!

Games always look better in motion, but yeah these screens are not the greatest.

I wouldn't look at these screens and think they are amazing or anything, because they aren't good screenshots at all. It barely makes the game look like a minor step up from current gen, but that's obviously not the case when it's in motion.
