Trailer PC PS4 Xbox One

Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the realistic medieval RPG from Warhorse Studios is now on Kickstarter seeking $500k to launch in Q4 2015 on PC, Mac, Linux, PS4 and Xbox One. New screenshots, gameplay trailer and more details inside for this promising CryEngine-powered title.

Warhorse Studios Launches Kickstarter For
Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Sets US$500k (UK £$300k) Goal To Fuel Ongoing Investment in the Game

Prague, Czech Republic – January 22, 2014 – Today Warhorse Studios launched a Kickstarter for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the AAA PC and next-gen console title slated for a 2015 release.

Game Director and Lead Designer Dan Vávra explains: “So far US$1.5m has been invested into Kingdom Come: Deliverance, largely from a single investor outside the games industry. This is a big and expensive game, and we could hardly hope to raise the entire budget needed on Kickstarter alone. Since game publishers are not throwing money at us, we’ve made a deal with our investor: if we raise the relatively reasonable sum of US$500k, it is proof for him that the game has potential, and he would continue to finance us. Anything over the sum we’re asking for will allow us to create additional content and a better overall product.”

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an open world, action-adventure RPG developed by a veteran team composed of talent that played key roles in the Mafia, Crysis, ArmA and Operation Flashpoint franchises. Set during the Holy Roman Empire during the late Middle Ages, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is rich with historically authentic characters, themes and warfare.

Gotta be honest, I've never liked anything medieval but this looks pretty nice and ambitious. I'd say it reminds of skyrim a bit but otherwise it looks pretty cool.

Oh god, the voice acting. Lol.

Looks too boring to me, but i would like to see the collision in combat in something like the next elders scrolls.

Yeah voice acting needs some work, but this one will come down to mechanics and execution of the combat. If they can nail something like Mount & Blade with great balance and tons of variety, I will forgive the voice acting. If it ends up shallow like Ryse, I won't even consider it.

Graphics look good, but not mind blowing. The animations seem to be pretty well done though, so really my only concern is the combat feel and whether the story can grab me. I love the thought of a realistic medieval combat game (without magic and dragons and whatnot) so heres hoping...

No offense, but how can anyone who plays Elder Scrolls call any game boring? Skyrim's secret title was "Boredom simulator 2011".

It's really hard to say. It's not like there's a lot of gameplay in that trailer. From what I've read about the game it sounds pretty interesting. If they get the combat right and/or manage to write an interesting story then it might be worth playing, because each or both of those aspects can push you to play and finish a game.

Pity its not a next gen engine built from the ground up. I guess it will be only Sony studios and Remedy software that will impress over the next few years with proprietary game engines that give their games an overall unique look.

Did anybody see the awful Unreal 3 engine looking Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor footage released on their Youtube channel? So bland looking, had to be current gen footage although the 1080p nature of the video suggests otherwise.

Goal reached within first 3 days, 1st stretch goal reached after 5. Funding is going fast for such a 'boring' looking game...

People seemed to love skyrim, it's clearly popular to be boring.

If sword combat is going to be anything like in the trailer i'm cool. I'm still eagerly awaiting a game with sword fight controls where you actually don't press buttons but instead draw your swing with a mouse or the stick, a little bit like in Skate. I hated Dark Messiah for it's awful sword fight animations (and all it's other awful animations in general). Skyrim and Oblivion were also shit in that regard...

That video actually made me more interested in the game :D

Unfortunately, it's not entirely representative of the average Chivalry experience. Because that'd be awesome haha...
