PC Xbox 360

Phantagram released this trailer of Kingdom Under Fire II, done using their new engine called Fame Tech 2 who will power the game. And clearly, this is a most impressive engine, even if this video is from the PC version of the game.
Update: Added the 720p version of the trailer.

If it looks like that in game then it looks stunning. Wonder how it plays though, would love to see more.

They've done themselves. Better than any LOTR or LOTRwannabe games outhere. (i'm looking at you Lair POS)

Just hope they stay true the last 2 games roots, and the MMO parts are only for online multiplayer.

Doesn't look that much better than N3 to me. But the thing about Phantagram is, they can't make great games.

You REALLY need to go back and play N3 again! And I think it's a little unfair to state that his developer is simply unable to make a good game. Probably should wait to see more than one video or maybe even play the game.

I thought it looked fantastic and can't wait to see more. I never bought any of the previous games in the series but this has got my interest now.

The ending was epic. The dragon flying parts reminded me of Lair except there's much more going on screen.

The whole game isn't just an MMO is it? There's a single player portion to this?

I think from what they've said it will be all MMO based or heavily geared that way, but there might well be a small offline section. Either way, I was sold a long time ago, this just seals the deal.

I have one question...combat, real-time or turn based?

If it's real-time I hope its not like that other stupid game, Circle of Doom were you only do 1 or 2 attacks and keep doing it all the time.

If it is not real time, I wont even bother.

Visually and techincally it looks very awesome, but for me, combat is the main reason for me .

I love these type of settings, so thats no problem :)

N3 looks bad compared to this, visually.
- True Action RTS sequel heir to the world acclaimed Kingdom Under Fire series
- Pioneering a new genre, MMOARTS (Massively Multiplayer Online Action RTS) for multi-platforms.
- The first revealed real-time screenshots off a work-in-progress build.

Features
- A true Action RTS inheritor of the world acclaimed Kingdom Under Fire series, which continues a saga of Bersian heroes on Kingdom Under Fire universe.
- Massively Multiplayer Online game where thousands of gamers can co-play and write their own epic poetry of war.
- Much empowered real-time strategy game system with highly intense action and intuitive control while succeeding all the great merits of previous versions.
- Unprecedentedly massive scale of castle siege mode to deliver realistic mediaeval battle onto your nose.
- Deeper and richer campaign mode than that of "Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders"
- Competition and War among 3 factions over the domination of Bersia continent; Human Alliance, Dark Legion and a new mystery force.
Action RTS?
MMOARTS (Massively Multiplayer Online Action RTS)?

What does these even mean?
Huge online multiplayer with real-time combat and strategy?

The camera was upclose all the time so my guess is its like N3 type gameplay but with MMO and strategy to it, if so...I am very interested.

I know this gameplay trailer was ingame and all but it was a bit difficault to understand how the combat works.

PS. I hate the music. Old fantasy setting with modern rock? stupid, but it did have orchestra in it so its good :)

It's a strategy game with an action combat system. Like the old Star Craft and War Craft games, except the combat system is a different kind of hack n slash. N3 was basically a copy of KUF1 and took out the strategy elements. If you want to see how the combat system might be, look at vids of KUF:Crusaders on Xbox.

lol, since when was Starcraft and Warcraft anything other than the industry standard RTS games? "with an action combat system"?? lol

What is this game anyway? Is it an rts (top down view, control alot of units), or is it a hack n slash with squad commands? (3rd person view, control fewer units with a limited view angle fracking things up)

I said it's stategy in the sense of Starcraft and Warcraft, except the combat system isn't anything like it. You still give command to your army to go fight a group of enemies, but it's not a point and click combat system like in standard RTS games. The strategy elements in the old KUF was never as deep as the standard RTS though. So, I don't see the problem? lol lol lol

amazing, realtime is finally catching up to CG. a must buy for me(but i'll do some research into the game first, wouldn't want to buy a glorified tech demo), PC version for me. i could see the 3 cores of the 360's cpu working overtime handling just the AI routines of the crazy amount of characters onscreen at once.
