It LOOKS quite nice in parts. But artistically, especially knack himself, looks awful. Gameplay looks dull as fuck too. This is sony's ryse. Tech is pretty nice but the game behind it looks shit.

Wow Korn can't believe you compare this game to ryse. wow just wow. I see this game to be more like project spark comparison only you can do more in the latter.

Stylistically, and who it's aimed at, sure. But i'm talking about a tech demo that looks decent, but seems to be a boring, badly made mess in every other area. Project spark actually looks good
I do not like when he grows that big at all. Looks actually better and cute when tinniest. I think it uses unreal4 and it is impossible to get lost in this game due to fixed camera.

no wonder PS4's overheat when have to render this - I'd do it too :D
1920*1080P resolution. I am going to make a prediction based on specs that 90% PS4 games will do 1920*1080P and 90% XO will be sub fullHD. I cannot imagine any heat issue with either console. Especillay after the RROD fiasco
I don't care which one has more 1080p games, as I will also own a PS4 within the next quarter - just cannot afford it all at once
But XO is real DX 11.2 and easy going on Tiled Resources and that fake Raytracing - it will not be behind, quite the opposite as it seems
As for the heat issue: I woudn't be so sure of that. Rumour has it that PS4 was intended with 4 Gig of RAM and Sony upped it once the XO early-spec documents leaked ... and RAM tends to get warm y'know
Although my comment was meant in the way of: PS4 refuses to render that shit

you are so blind it hurts. comparing this graphicaly to ryse..jesus you are one of the most retarded sony fanboys there are in this place.
Personally...I think the game has some chops in the graphics department. No, its not going to win any awards from a technical point of view, and artistically it can be quite unimaginative, but it does look pretty. However, gameplay wise I just don't see the appeal to this game at all. I mean like the cars stay intact even though a 3 story sized thing just jumped on it haha. The game looks very trail and error and brings nothing new to the table.
On another note...whoever compares this game to Ryse is not a smart gamer at all. Ryse may not win any awards for its gameplay either but at least its a title that's pushing next gen from a technical perspective. I mean, Ryse is probably leading the technical pack for all launch titles in that area...Knack on the other hand isn't pushing any technical boundaries. Pretty game though.
Somehow the only available PS4s at the convention i have attended had Knack & Contrast on them while Driveclub & Shadowfall ones were croweded to the ground. After spending some time with it i felt nothing. A fine God of War-esque game i would never even know about in other circumstances.

Im sorry but Kameo was a technical beast for its time, and certainly artistically superior imo.
Lol. Technical beast...maybe. Artistically it was god awful though. Badly designed flying pixie thing...ha, no thanks, i'd even take the awfulness that is knack over that.
Kameo had a whole lot more to it from what I've of Knack though. Kameo was a very, very good game. I doubt Knack will be very good, but you never know.
I think it looks pretty good, visually, aside from the main character- which really is where you need to nail it. On a side note- Cerney is getting a love fest from Gamespot and it's resident fanboys. Yeesh...

Which is where kameo fell on it's arse. No amount of parallax mapping could fix the shit design. Same thing here, no amount of fancy physics can fix knack looking like shit design wise.

I will agree with you and say Kameo herself was not the best looking character out there...far from it...but the characters she morphed into were ver well done and had tons if personality. But what I'm really talking is artistically as a whole. Kameo's level design is leagues better than the very unimaginative designs you see in Knack. More going on in those levels as well. One look at Kameo's home village and you see wonder and fantasy oozing out...how lush it looks. Rare really sold those environments. Knack to me looks like a regular guy in a costume running around on a fake TV show set...like a stop-motion movie. Kameo the game was great artistically.
Looks like an utterly unremarkable filler launch title, PS4 is not happening for me until the worthwhile second generation of titles launches in 2014...

It's like saying "get rid of the higher ooly count and high res textures, and crysis 3 would look like goldeneye"...those things ARE the graphics.
