Namco-Bandai informs us that its medieval action-adventure game, Knights Contract, has finally hit the stores. So as usual, here are the launch trailer and the associated press release.
In Knights Contract, take a journey through a world where witches have been hunted and brutally executed for allegedly unleashing a plague onto humanity. The game follows the twisted tale of Heinrich, an immortal executioner, and Gretchen, a resurrected witch. Once the victim of Heinrich’s blade, Gretchen now has him under contract to fight alongside her and the two must work together to rid the land of the vengeful enemies who are out to destroy civilization. But beyond these malicious foes lies an even bigger threat that is responsible for the black spell of death.
Armed with Heinrich’s finely honed scythes and Gretchen’s explosive witchcraft, players must utilize these tools in battle as they travel through malevolent environments that are invested with evil. Coordinating the efforts of Heinrich and Gretchen will be critical in order to deal tremendous damage onto their tormentors with fluid, fast-paced combinations and gruesome finishers. As the immortal executioner, players must protect Gretchen against hideous creatures and unspeakable horror as her magical prowess and mortality are the key to the duo’s survival.

So by carrying her you heal her and yourself from falling down on the battlefield.
Though I HATE games were you have to babysit someone, pisses me off.
And I hate scythe as a weapon, I hate all weapons unless its swords!
This game seems to be exactly like Castlevania and Dante's Inferno...one weapon throughout the entire game, unacceptable for such a genre these days.
I love the music, setting and the visual effects though.
Also surprised for a big guy he is pretty fast with the scythe during combat considering War from Darksiders was a tank.
I havent bought it, but I am tempted a bit, it is in my favorite genre afterall.
PS. Amazing CGI trailers for this game, really great.
Let's see what we get - awful combat system, boring-ass battles, worst QTE's ever, bland looking environments!
Played the first 4 levels on hardest available difficulty and it's boooring as hell. Borrow it from friend of course.
Loved Genji 1, Folklore....it's a shame Game Republic didn't put any effort on their new games.
btw Sorry for my bad english.
@IRAIPTOIR,
who is the guy in your avatar pic btw ? I can't work it out and keep seeing Eddie Izzard playing the guy in Inception :S

There are very few people who genuinly go about thinking "I'm going to evil today just for the hell of it."
Most people who are doing awful things think that they are doing it for the greater good, to help people.
